      its actually 4 so lol
      september 2014
      still outdated though

      • outdates in what aspect , ability to run ios apps, or just hardware comparisons …..its all about apps for some people and updates,

        • +5

          apps
          features
          battery life
processor - general speed is sluggish
approaching eol - unlikely to get future feature set from ios

    • 4…beaten to it.

  • +4

    Haha! iPhone 6.

    • The first bigger iPhone to only play catch up to android flagships in terms of screen size.

      • Shots fired

  • My iPhone 6 worked so hard in last 4 years.

  • +2

Even my Sharp Aquos S2 is a better phone than this phone overall.

    • +1

not if you want Imessage or own an apple watch which optus and telstra activate 4G on for $5 pm so you can do voice and sms from your watch if phone isn't handy

      • -2

lol @ U if you've bought an Apple watch.

        • -1

          let me guess:
          lol @ U if you've bought a macbook
lol @ U if you've bought an iphone
lol @ U if you've bought an ipad

          and so on?

        • -1

@watts: yep, lol @ U if you're gullible enough to buy any overpriced and overrated product.

    • +4

Even my Sharp Aquos S2 is a better phone than this phone overall.

Except the iPhone would still destroy it. Specs mean little.

  • +1

I wouldn't buy it myself (and had to bit my tongue when mum told me she bought one last week) but will give it a vote as it seems to be the best current price for local new stock.

For people like my mum this phone is adequate. She was even happy with her old 5c, except of the battery life.

  • +4

Too old. 6S/SE is the minimum as it performs significantly better.

  • +2

even has band 28, NFC, and has been getting IOS updates all that time, Xiaomi will catch up one day ……

I'm an android user but accept that after 2 years we stop getting updates.

    • +1

Pixel users get 3 years of updates :)

    • +1

Still getting updates for my over 2 year old S7…

  • +1

Great phone for grandpa and grandmas

    • +1

6 plus is better for their eyesight

  • Headphone output…. win/win :D

  • +2

My iphone 6 is still going strong and would wait for another year or two to get a replacement.

  • +1

I'd probably pay the extra $100 for the refurb 6S at aldi at the moment. Better performance and you'll get an extra year of software updates

  • I got a 6s rose gold for $150 32gb second hand practically brand new last year. Lol at this.

    • +10

It's a pity the true owner of it couldn't figure out how to turn on the activation lock on the obviously stolen goods you purchased.

      • +1

Mate, I got the receipt from her. She was selling it because of upgrading. Don't be a douche and assume don'tcha know it makes an ass outta both you and me?

  • My sister went in and bought one today, it was only $179 because they give you a $200 gift voucher to credit towards it. She had to sign up for 12 months at $39.99pm

    • Answering the question you posted in your deleted duplicate deal.
The iPhone 6s and $99 AldiMobile super pack, both at Aldi, may suit your son if you want a better phone and cheaper plan.

      • Thanks Steve, took my fussy 20 year old shopping today. He was so adamant he keep his $10per month Amaysim plan (unlimited plus 1gb per month). We saw the $99 packs today as I was picking up a new sim for my iPad but the usual miser didn’t want to switch. I’m with Aldi and have been trying to get him to switch. He decided on sticking to his $10 Amaysim plan and buying a phone outright. $399 at Big W Gold 32gb. I did point out to him that the annual cost for going with the 20gb unlimited deal is only $659and fully tax dedecuctable but no sale (He’s paying $519).

  • I think she said offer was valid til Friday, it’s not on jbhifi website.

  • Anyone know if this phone is unlocked, or locked to Telstra?

  • The guy I spoke to today said it was $39.99 per month with boost mobile

  • Yes it is locked, he thought it was 12 months and couldn’t tell me if there was a fee to unlock

  • iPhone 6 32GB Unlocked Smartphone Gold
    $397.00 instock unlocked
