eBay Australia Double Cashback 2% (was 1%) @ Cashrewards [Extended to Aug 23]

1960

Hi all. We haven't done an eBay increase in a very long time. Perfect time to stack with eBay's current Father's Day Promo. Offer is for 24 hours only (unless extended) extended to 11:59pm AEST August 23. As always, thank you for your ongoing support. Enjoy :)

A small education piece:

Please always ensure your last click before purchase is from Cashrewards. Simply click Shop Now and complete your shopping without leaving eBay. A lot of untracked claims come from the fact members have other tabs open and/or are using Google or comparison sites to review their product/s before purchase. All cashback/rewards sites work off a simple principle - last click. The winning affiliate is always the one that receives the last click. Also turn off any AdBlock/uBlock/Ghostery as well as Safari (mobile and/or desktop) Cross-Site Tracking. Finally, you must return and click through from Cashrewards to the store every time you make a new transaction/purchase.

of course, I just put through a bunch of stuff late last night at the 1%! Any chance of getting it upped to the 2%?? :)

  • Just in time, awesome!

  • +1

Just in time for the 20% off sale at 10am, yay! Including the 2% CashRewards discount I just got the King size ZZZ Atelier Mattress for $265.78 delivered, sa-weet!

  • +8

Wow, this is great news. Thanks TA.
An increase of 1% -> 2% is in fact a 100% increase, for those wondering.

    • +2

is in fact a 100% increase

      price jacking at its best!!!

  • -4

    100% discount increase is epic
    1% to 2% is a meh.

    • -5

Yeh wtf is 2%. If you spend $200 that's $2 cashback

      • +1

        Lol. Where is mathnerd?

        • +2

          I'm here!

        • @MathNerd:

Well you took your time. Thanks for confirming the above. Cheers

        • cashback difference from 1% to 2%

      • Um… It's $4. Unless you meant $2 extra

      • +1

It's free money, imo shouldn't be treated like a discount (e.g. 10 or 20% off) as you're basically getting paid on top of what you hopefully already purchased at a discounted price :)

      • +1

That's $2 more cashback compared to previously, is what you probably meant?

        • +1

Yep. Forgot to add the word 'difference' to the end of the sentence. People care more about an assumed error and are quick to point it out.

  • -1

someone PM me about Cash rewards please.

  • But max cashback is only $50…

  • -1

is the 2% eBay cashback permanent? or part of a promo

    • +2

Offer is for 24 hours only (unless extended).

      Read the OP, please.

  • +1

Right after I spend $700 on Hard drives yesterday. To add salt to my wound I forgot to activate the cashrewards. Bummer!

    • Hmmm. No free lunch and a coke for you…

  • -1

Any ideas on how to spend the $1 cashback bonus if you spend $100 on eBay.

    • +2

Take the significant other for a Maccas or Hungry J softserve date. It's a nice gesture.

    • +2

      Straight on the mortgage

    • +2

$1 large chips from maccas app if it's available.

  • Forget it, cashrewards doesn't track ebay these days, had multiple large purchases last couple of months not tracked, even used a clean install of firefox with no adblocks.

      • No I tried cashrewards after giving up on shopback. How can you double dip directed links?

        • What about antivirus? Are you using something like AVG that actively blocks tracking cookies? Are you clicking out of the tab while shopping after a click through? This would include clicking on your start menu for example.

    • Forget it, cashrewards doesn't track ebay these days, had multiple large purchases last couple of months not tracked, even used a clean install of firefox with no adblocks.

I just got the CR confirmation email a few hours ago for a $3,297 purchase I made on Saturday. Expected cashback is $32.97. How I wish this deal came up three days ago!

All my large purchases have tracked consistently. It has to be something on your system. As Clear mentioned, it could be another program like AVG, or any privacy blockers you might be running either on your system, or something like Privoxy on your router, or possibly even a VPN like TunnelBear.

    • +5

Yes it is. It's been 1% for a very very very long time and now it's 2%. It's also higher than all the other cashback providers.

This is the very definition of a deal.

      • -2

I was more referring to the extra 1%, but you do you.

        • +1

It's been 1% for a very very very long time and now it's 2%. It's also higher than all the other cashback providers.

      • ….wasn't it like 5% or something higher before….?

        • Yes several years ago before eBay reduced their affiliate rate to next to nothing. Why else is every cashback provider at 1%?

        • @Clear: OH is that what happened? I thought Cash Rewards was trying to pull a fast one on us and decide to give us less coz they can….

        • @Zachary: Nope. eBay gives bugger all to affiliates so CT make no money off it.

        • @Clear: Oh if they make no money off this how are they making money to stay afloat and pay their servers and other expenses? Are they living off donations or something and are doing quite well from it? Or…?

        • @Zachary: That's just eBay. They make money off the hundreds of other stores listed on their website. Enough money to employ 60+ in their Sydney office.

        • @Clear: OH wow, so they rake in at least 6 million dollars(assuming all employees get paid a $100k salary or wage equivalent each year)?!

        • @Zachary: Something like that. A portion even goes to Starlight foundation.

        • @Zachary: It'd be nice to work at a place where every single employee gets paid (at least) 100k. :)

        • @Clear: Sign me up, I wanna work for Cash Rewards now….hahahahaha

@eug: Yeah….I'm currently getting paid peanuts…..compared to that figure…..I may as well go on the dole….and be a dole bludger just like everyone else here…..

How does this get so many upvotes ?? Spend $100 and earn an extra $1 …. it's just advertising

    • Why down vote isnt what I am saying correct ?

      • Because some people spend a lot more than $100.

Shopback is better, it seems as though anytime I make a large purchase cashback is never recieved on cashrewards. Countless times on purchases over $500 never got a cent from cashrewards with no reasonable explanation.

My high value items (7999, 3389, 2399) being tracked automatically and successfully paid out with CashRewards

I haven't used Shopback thanks to CR's service and quick follow up for anything that's gone wrong (it does happen, nothing is perfect).

      • That's nice you got cashback from the Sony site. This thread is discussing eBay though, its a different website.

        • +2

The user was commenting saying they don't get high value transactions paid out, cwongtech showed that they do.

The original commenter didn't say anything about eBay.

This thread is discussing eBay though, its a different website.

As doweyy mentioned, CR does pay out high-value transactions. All these accusations about CR not paying out high-value transactions are false - it's more likely those users have something blocking the tracking, or it was just a random glitch that can happen.

All my high-value eBay transactions have certainly tracked.

      • geezus 8000, what a high roller….

      • What did you buy with Sony, it was like $30K spend in a week

        • A7R3 + lenses

    • Send OP a message. He'll sort it out for you.
I had the same thing happen, had a cry about it here, and he messaged me and fixed it for me.

  • I placed a $200 ebay order on Aug 21, 11:53 AM (Melbourne time)
Cashrewards came back with an August 20 sale and 1% cashreward not 2%.

Do they operate in another time zone? Thanks.
$2 not really fussed however …

    • All fixed. Special thanks to TA.

Cashrewards transactions add up over time, definitely worth it.

  • Thanks for education notes TA. I normally spend 30 mins for shop in ebay (sometimes more), and then I return to CR and found that my login session has been timed out. Would the tracking still successful?
I can see it in the Last click but still left unsure
