AFAIK they charge fees from the merchant. The shoppers need to ensure they don't get late on payments.

Basically they said to me that the longer you are with them and the more you use them, they will allow high values, but not when you're just starting up.
Ticks me off though because nothing states on the david jones site that you cant be new afterpay customer. Makes it sound like you can just sign up and away you go.

you will receive an invoice straight away and then after pay will direct debit your account per fortnight with 4 instalments, you can pay even pay it off faster buy clicking pay now on your after pay account. It's very convenient

True! I just sign up because of this deal. Tried to buy V10 for $799 and afterpay declined the transaction reason because the amount is deemed to high. If I knew it I wont be bother to sign up and gave my personal details to them!
