They're having issues with the JB Hifi website. It's not out of stock because no one can buy one.
I would say they sold out, I don't think their website is having any issues.
I've been following their facebook page today, they've confirmed it's an IT issue.

JB HiFi sales are now live - their controller is still bugged, but you can check out with the console perfectly fine.

I don’t think any stock is as reserved for release on the day, but it can’t hurt to be glued to social media for the 3 stores tomorrow. The only other chance (apart from resale) would be if a pre-order is cancelled, but I imagine it would be snapped up almost immediately (if not taken by staff member first).
Yeah, due to the very limited quantity world wide, and australia usually having a low amount distributed, i would say very very slim.

True, but i would say the mainstream appeal is that its a translucent shell (which im sure you can get a modded shell on ebay), and the bronze numbered placque.
There is alot more emphasis and meaning on limited edition on this one than the decal change.
I mean it dosnt affect whatever it is I currently have, I probably havn't batted an eye at all towards my console and it's glued to the TV for gaming lol.
It's nice but $700 for the same thing, it's gonna get dusty and dirty with normal use etc.

Yeah. I usually dont like getting limited edition consoles, but this is one i wanted, only thing from previews i would change is remove the glossy finish and put a matte (something like n64 transparent) finish to prevent hand prints.
I soooo wanted the Spider-Man one. FYI Sony.com.au still have a version of the ps4 slim spider-man themed. But not the pro.
