From my opinion, this could be a great budget or spare phone.

As far as I understand, it support dual 4G/3G. However, no NFC, no B28 and no 3.5mm Headjack.

It can be upgraded to latest Android Oreo if you install a custom rom from XDA.

Decent specs:
1. Hardware Platform: Qualcomm Snapdragon 652

3. Back Camera: 16
4. ROM: 32GB
5. Category: 4G Smartphone
6. Screen Resolution: 1920*1080
7. Screen Size (inch): 5.5

Meh, the Letv Leree Le 3 from same LeEco is better, since it has dual rear camera that does work when making bokeh shot, for $20 more.

Be very aware that all LeEco are stuck in the past with Android Marshmallow and the like, no update.

Spec wise the Leree Le 3 is better( it's actually a rebadged Cool1 Dual). The only reason I like the S3 more is because Oreo 8.1 is already available from XDA.

Legit non judgy question here. Who is actually buying spare phones and why?

    • my spare is usually the old one that has been superceeded,

if you are an iphone user you need another iphone as spare so your apps and data go across, so much a cheap plan B.

if an android user , just buy a $100 one from woollies or coles till your other phone is fixed or replaced.

      • Yeah I'm he same but importing a device for 100+ dollars and questionable security/useability in the medium to long term seems a bit excessive for a temporary phone

        • Even with the latest Android and the most expensive phone you still need to protect yourself especially when browsing the internet.
Also when you do online transactions are always the bank institutions that manage the security as well as when you manage your online banking account.
This phone makes sense to me because I can use it at work instead of carrying my expensive toy or when traveling.

        • @dealhunt:

          That makes sense, cheers mate.

    • I always have a couple of spare ones around the house for unplanned event. My family damaged/losted 3 phoens within a week and the spare ones are very handy to get them back on the road.

      • Fair enough, I was just curious as some of these deals aren't really bargains when you consider lifespan/suppprt/local warranty etc.

        • I have two phones for two reasons. I like to play Pokemon Go with my 6 year old. I don't to buy him a phone (He's too young) but I have a spare with an account on it that he can use and play with when out together. It also acts as backup for it mine gets broken and I need to send away.

        • @stumbows:

          That's awesome, makes sense.

  • does this have expanded memory via SD card?

    • There is no Micro SD slot.
