DSE why u had to die?

    • They die with my 2500 shares…

    • +1

So that we could get bargains below cost while they artificially inflated sales, like a HiFi system, a weather station, eneloops, a laptop-tablet convertible, several headphones, and the list goes on…..

    • +2

Yeah very sad, miss the original DSE.

Wld much rather that HN died and DSE remained. :(

      • I remember back in the days I could go in and find resistors of about 1000 different values, capacitors of 1uF to 10MF, relays, switches, diodes, transistors and enough PCBs and solder to let me live out the rest of my life in peace.

Then they turned that love of mine into Harvey Normal 2.0. Worst thing to happen to Australian electronics in a looooong time. The hobby market really took a dive after that.

Just bought them. Hopefully they'll be better than the DOA batteries i bought last week from another provider. I'll post and update once they arrive :)

    • Were they eneloops?

      • yeah but like… the price i paid was sketchy as is. this one costs a bit more so here's hoping.

    • So they arrived yesterday (Monday 06/08) the packaging stated they came precharged. the packing didn't lie. i used a bit of the charge by making a character run off a map on my xbox to make the controller drain the batteries, they charged pretty fast and still working.
So far it's been a really great bargain to thanks OP for posting this original listing :)

aint the Ikea batteries relabelled Pros ? (the ones in white wrapper not light brown)

    • Someone has proven that. They are almost identical :)
      https://www.slrlounge.com/panasonic-eneloop-vs-ikea-ladda-ar…

      • +1

Almost identical is odd. The article states they perform differently, so wouldn't that indicate they are different batteries?

        • Where did it say they perform differently?

Eneloop Pro $18 VS LADDA $8? I think I will choose LADDA thanks.

      • i choose the ladda too…

  • Is this same as 14500 rechargable battery? Can we use this on Thorfire torch?

    • The Thorfire uses 18650 Li-Ion…

    • 14500 is the term commonly used in Lithium battery, representing 14mm D and 50mm L, the voltage usually range from 3V to 3.7V

eneloop pro is NIMH battery, although its same size (AA) but Voltage is 1.2V, can replace 1.5V alkaline battery

So please check your thorfire torch voltage requirement before purchasing these batteries.

    • 14500 is a 3.7v Lithium cell, these are 1.2v NiMH cells. Same physical size though.

  • ThorFire Mini flashlight with 14500… https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0799HMHFD?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

  • Loopy's must resist.

  • Definitely paying for the brand name here. Both the Ikea Ladd and Aldi Activ are far cheaper (~$2 each) and have similar performance.

    • +1

Just had a brief look on the Ladda 1000, it seems like different technology are used as they only have 1500 cycle and only 1000mAh where the Panasonic white one 4th gen is 2100 cycles and 2000mAh.

      Ikea - 1000x 1500 = 1.5mil mAh produced per battery life

      Panasonic - 2000x 2100 = 4.2mil mah produced per battery life
