I've got the retail box & they're all showing free for me - cheers OP!

    • Anyone with Optus had luck with this?

      • Those channels are working for me on an Optus Fetch Mini and I don't have any channel packs (only Optus Sport).

        • Same here

    • CMusic is NOT Country Music TV — it is described by fetch as "An award winning classical, cinematic and chill-out music video channel".

      • Well there's only 2 kinds of music
        Country and Western

…and in other Fetch news, bein sports 2 and 3 are now available, Optus Sport will be available on retail boxes by next weekend, and for those who like a punt, Fetch Mighty is going for $100 delivered from China???

Wow. This is the cheapest I've seen. Mr Gerry Harvey wants us to pay for almost 4 times as much! Don't buy it from his stores.

    • I can't find any info on Bein 2+3 now being available on anything other than Murdoch Vision, have you got a link?

      • +1

        Try this:

Finally, the much requested beIn SPORTS 2 & 3 have joined beIN SPORTS 1 on Fetch. The new 3 channel pack is $19.99 per month, but from now until Sept 30 you can enjoy it for the special introductory offer of $14.95 per month. Enjoy unrivalled access to premium football from around the world, including Serie A, LaLiga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1, the best of the WTA Tour and international test rugby and much more LIVE. Existing beIN Subscribers already have access to the new channels in your pack - if you don't see them yet, just restart your box. Everyone else head to menu>manage>subscriptions to add the beIN SPORTS Pack

Thanks kirt, as I don't do Facebook the world passes me by…..
          (lol, downvoted for thanking someone)

@Afternoon Delight: You DON'T do Facebook…What's wrong with you.?!

Whatever it is, I have the same ailment.

    • Price is too good to be true. Anyone purchased the fetch TV from them? All reviews are for figurines only.

      • It's eBay's problem if something's NQR.

      • Agreed.
If somebody buys one, post to let us know how you get on.

        • +3

Purchased, but will anyone be reading this thread after the 25 Sep delivery date?

I've had a few of non deliveries over the years (not this seller) and never had an issue getting a PayPal refund easily…

    • "Optus Sport will be available on retail boxes by next weekend" - can you please provide a link? Thanks.

      • From that same Facebook link above:

Q "is it safe to say Optus Sport will be available on retail boxes before EPL Matchday 1 next weekend?"

A "All we can say is that you know we like to keep our friends happy."

Discussion about that eBay listing here: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2661590&…

Bottom-like is that these boxes are unauthorised and because they require online activation by Fetch Australia before use, it’s almost certain they are useless bricks (just like second-hand Optus boxes are).

Save your money. I wouldn’t rely on eBay either, because there’s no guarantee that eBay will refund boxes that physically meet the description but can’t be activated in Australia.

      • Thank you

"The seller's store is closed for holiday. Check back later." I wonder if its a gaol holiday.

You can split a Foxtel Now subscription with a mate and get those 3 beIN channels plus 10 other sport channels for $19.50pm each (2 streams simultaneously). Just an idea ;)

      • Would I need a starter pack on top of that split $19.50?

      • can you watch foxtel now on a fetch mighty?

      • Foxtel Now don't have a box with the ability to record. The best selling point of the Fetch Mighty

        • Why do you need it? All the beIN games are on the beIN app (which you have access to) and almost all of the non-sport Foxtel stuff is On Demand, which is better than having to schedule recordings. I don't watch FTA but there's catch up apps for that too obviously.

Joe888 - It works on Optus as well if you want to revise your heading, I just checked. I have the Entertainment Pack and it's advertised in one of the Menu Tabs. Cheers.

    • Thanks for confirming. petestrash already amended for me.

  • People saying it works on Optus boxes, what do I have to do or is it applied automagically?

    • +1

It's automatically activated, you should be able to access the Channels and at the end of the month they are automatically deactivated, unless you decide to subscribe of course.

On the Fetch Mighty, hit Menu and it shows up as the 1st Advertising Tab/square , does on mine anyway.

  • How do you sign up for this?

    • I also checked directly on the Fetch Mighty (outright, not Optus) and also see $6.

      • +1

Just restart your Fetch. You don't have to sign up or click anything, the channels are automatically unlocked.

      • I have a retail box too and it works for me. You can view the 10 channels by the pressing the TV Guide button on your remote control. If you have not previously hidden them, then they should show up on your Included tab of the TV Guide.

  • I had a fetch box, about 2 years ago. First one died, then when my contract was over I assumed it was useless, pulled out the HD and binned it..maybe I shouldn't have…

You're supposed to return them to the ISP just like Foxtel boxes.

  • Thanks OP. I got my optus fetch box during the world cup chaos. Finally it will get some use :-)

  • Trying to work through it on the phone with Mum and it's not working wants her to sign up…
Have told her to restart and she has.
    Any tips?
    She has a retail version.

    • You don't have to sign up - just unhide the channels under Manage -> Settings -> Channels

      • She reckons none are hidden, wants you to pay.

        • Nevermind got it.

          Finally haha.

  • -2

all the crap channels. nothing worth watching.

  • Does the fetch subscription work on mini box or only mighty?

    • I only own Mighty box but the sub should work on Mini as well.

    • Works on my Mini.

  • Can confirm works on Optus fetch box. Just watched mtv after a looong time.

  • HD, rite?

  • Also, nothing to do to get this bonus, all the channels are automatically available to subscribers (I am a normal retail subscriber, not via an ISP); but I didn't realize it was there until I saw this thread.

  • So it's September and parents are still getting the free channels.

    Has it been extended?

    • It hasn't been extended. Once I changed the channel on my parents tv they could no longer access.
