  With the Merivale (only available in Sydney) one, it says first 3500 cards on my Velocity Escape, but 7000 like in the OP description on my DJs Amex

    But $200 in one transaction! That's a lot even for Merivale. And only for points!
    I still have gift cards from the last half price deal.
    If the aim is to promote Merivale they need to up the game.

    Velocity is a different points scheme so the point values are different?

      Yeah I agree, $200 is a lot.

      Velocity are also giving out 2000 Velocity points for the same offer.

    Thanks for this. That particular deal is not a statement credit and it's probably hard to find a real bargain at Agoda. If there are specific hotel deals accessed through that link they are probably worth a deal post on its own.

  Got the Merivale offer and used it. The restaurant also provided a free bottle of Moet. Only problem is NO SPLIT BILLS. The whole bill has to go on the nominated Amex (awkward for a large group).
