Schecter C-6 Plus Electric Guitar $369 @ Guitar Factory Parramatta NSW

110

Found this ripper while casually browsing the store page. Most Australian retailers are selling the same model at $500+.

I've played this particular model in person (in the same shop) and found it to be a very capable guitar.
The neck shape & radious are rounder than Ibanez/ESP Ltd which I found to be more comfortable. The stock pickups, while not as versatile as Ibanez's new Quantums, are decent enough for beginners and far better than what you get in other $300-$400 guitars.
IMO as a whole package, the C-6 will be hard to beat at this price unless you buy used.

Cheaper than the price elsewhere isn't a bargain?

        1. Guitar prices NEVER hold their value. Once you buy a new guitar, your resale value becomes crappy.
        2. There are cheaper prices for certain guitars across stores. E.g. Bmusic sells ESP/LTD guitars cheaper than other stores and no one goes and post them here as a 'bargain', Belfield sold their ESP Horizons back in the day for $1599 etc.
        3. When BC Rich guitars get discounted … no one gives a s***.
        4. This is an overpriced stock guitar to begin with.
        5. RRP means absolutely nothing when you are considering buying a guitar. Only stores full of idiots will quote the RRP to try and get their sale. The RRP is NEVER a true reflection of the market rate of a guitar. E.g. I have a ESP Horizon NT7, the RRP was $3,799. I got it for around $2,100 NEW.
        6. If you shop around, you can find a guitar you want for a decent price.
        7. Intermediate guitar players would not consider this … surely.

          1. Does that mean a car can never be a bargain?
          2. Just because another guitar might be a bargain and isn't posted doesn't mean this one isn't
          3. just your opinion, no facts presented
          4. Same
          5. He didn't compare it to RRP, he compared it to other stores selling the same guitar
          6. Just because other guitars exist doesn't mean this one isn't worth looking at
          7. Who mentioned intermediates?

Go crawl back into the hole you came out of

OP have a positive vote to make up for this weirdo

@Quantumcat: Nah, I don't need to crawl into a hole, you can if it is too cold for you. If you bothered clicking the link, it says amazing quality guitar for 'intermediates' aswell. If you want to buy this guitar go ahead, no one is stopping you.

        • @PlushToys: i trust you, what would you recommend for a budget guitar? Like 100-150

        • @SimpleRoger: $100-$150 gets you nothing these days due to the US dollar which have lead to many manufacturers jacking up the price of their guitars. Unfortunately, you have to consider a not so well known brand or a second hand guitar.

          @ozwog05: Yep, $169 is between 100-150.

          Lol.
Lets just say the fact that your neg was revoked speaks volumes.

        • @PlushToys: it’s close enough ….needed a guitar for my young son as he thought about a new instrument ….it’s a challenge finding something in a price that if he doesn’t stick with it wasn’t too big a waste yet good enough that it feels right and is enjoyable to use and he might stick with it, if he’s still playing in 2 years time he gets an upgrade, if not one day it’s the garage sale.

yes guitars loose value quickly after you buy them, as they are personal preference eg strat shape or les paul shape, etc and location ….how far do buyers want to drive, hence you need to sell cheap to make it worth the trip unless you have the guitar someone close by wants, and postage can kill, the deal if it’s on ebay.
