    It's not the Harvey tax.

    It's the Australian voter tax. They elected Liberal and Labour who shifted the tax burden onto individuals while allowing business to pay little or no tax. The largest businesses by market cap pay under 2% on their earnings (after business costs!) while you get slugged 10% here just on one purchase.

    Just keep voting Labour and Liberal to see it get even worse.

    It's really irrelevant now what the prices used to be. Whether we like it or not, it's the new normal now and 20% off from UK with AU GST is still potentially 20% cheaper than normal with GST, assuming there's no jacking or overpricing.
