Saw this just now in HFM Lindfield. Not sure if only at this store.

A great price for what promises to be rich, juicy, melt in the mouth flesh and crispy, crunchy crackling, or soft, unctuous skin if braised Asian style.

Getting hungry for it and it's not even 9am.

Annoyed that I already bought two pieces of belly on the weekend for 150% of this price.

      • Yeah but then you have to cut it off. That's the part that bothers me, I love the skin.

        • just roast it with the skin on, you get soft belly meat, gelatinous fat and crispy skin on top

        • @simulacrum: I like to fry pork belly. Even when it's cut up to fry, they leave the skin on :(

        • @StoneSin: yeah i see what oyu mean.. if you slice it and fry it or grill korean style leaving the skin on isn't ideal.. might stay chewy or make the slice curl up.

  • Might give diy bacon a go.

    • Cut it 1nch thick and it'll be like bacon sausages, except 100x better. Look up Samgyeopsal.
