  • The last time I posted affiliate links - even after posting non-affiliate links, my deal was removed….

    • As long as it is clearly stated and you do not use the affiliate link in the title link, it is permitted. I have followed the OZB guidelines in posting this deal.

Affiliate links are generally not welcomed over here in OzBargain. Not that we do not want you to make money, but instead OzBargain already have a very good cashback scheme in place that is partnered with many affiliation networks in Australia. Therefore by using your link, our members might miss out the chance of getting cashback, which makes your deal more expensive!

However, if there is no affiliation network that can provide cashback to our members, i.e. they will have to pay the same amount anyway if they don't click through your link, then the moderators here might turn a blind eye on it. Please make sure that you put enough declaration in your post about the affiliate link. Please do not post affiliate links in the main URL.

      Steps to take:

      • Check whether this merchant already has commission cashback offered by sites like MoneyBackCo. If No, then
      • Make sure you check that the deal you are posting is not part of a Group Buy or Daily Deal site.
      • Make sure you declare your affiliation link. For example,
      • It contains my affiliation link, and if you click through and make purchase, I will be getting commission from your purchases.

      OP followed the correct procedure.

      • OK thanks for clearing that up. From memory my posting was for a group buy site.

i think having referral links in deals is pretty bad, regardless of whether it is a group buy site or deal site or whatever. i don't particularly want to wade through deals each day where the main goal of the posted deal is begging for a referral. there is little difference between this deal and the other deal that was posted at a similar time but deleted.

these affiliate linked deals really suck. if you look at the op's history, all he is doing is regularly posting "deals" which are ultimately referrals for play-asia.com. they are nothing more than spam and imo, makes a mockery of the spirit of ozbargain.

Affiliate links by regular members really shouldn't be allowed on this site.

Sure, if you have a popular website that people read and have them click your ads, then go for it.

But anyone and their dog can get a Play-Asia affiliate link (I did myself and also posted a couple similar links on another site back in the day before understanding how wrong I was), so what's stopping every single reply in these 'bargains' including their own affiliate link and asking for a 'thankyou'?

We should be sharing the love, not profiting from it.

This game isn't even worth downloading. Truly a horrible horrible game.

    • It is a pretty bad game, but playing local co-op is enjoyable as short as it is. So I would say it is worth the price if you have someone to play with.

    • The critic reviews are slightly more favourable tho. 70 IGN, 65 Gamespot, 60 the escapist. 66 Average.

        critics got paid

  • Can you add xbox to the title? :)

    “This game is not bad”
Gotta be in contention for the most understated comment of 2011!

4 hours of painful gameplay, no thanks.

Kane and Dog Turd is a more appt title.
    or maybe… Painful and Lynched.

i just dont understand some people, any game that comes to you new in the post and brand new for under $20 is clearly going to be lacklustre, sure some people can get good value from these deals but I wouldnt expect anything from a new game on a current generation console this cheap, it is clearly too good to be true, that being said, still a good bargain. You could play this game and find a sucker to buy it on ebay and probably make a small profit when you realise you dont want to keep it anymore lol
