Thanks op. It's a shame my local Cole's Express is about 16-18c more expensive then my mobil.

and as a fuel nerd, who collects the Fuel Reports from each tanker that refuels the servo; Mobil constantly has better fuel.
      Next is Freedom.
      Next is Shell.
      Then BP.
      Then Puma.
      Then Caltex.

Or so it is around Brisbane from the reports ive read. (main things I care about are true RON ratings, particulate matter, and Water content)

Where do you get these reports?

      • In my experience, I get the best fuel economy from BP hands down. I've not come across anything better.

        • agree, I get the best milleage out of BP as well but 7-eleven price point is more attractive..but when there is amex deal for BP, I will definitely get BP.

      • Caltex definitely the worst! Have been for a while. Known two people who have filled up at Caltex with more litres than their fuel tank can hold!
Either Mobil or Shell for best petrol in Adelaide.

  • Well 10c off still makes coles dearer than competition in my area. Not sure if shell fuel is worth it for that premium?

    • Indeed, I was going to use my 10c discount today. E10 was $1.54/L at Coles Express and $1.34 at the independent down the road.

  • Cheapest in my area $1.319 (After 4c discount: $1.279; Using 5% gift cards $1.2151)

    Coles Express: $1.379 (After 10c + 4c discount: $1.239)

Coles Express wins this week because I didn't find any 4c shopper's docket in the car park

  • I will never fill Coles fuel again. Somehow my car runs around 100km less compared to 7 Eleven fuel.

Which tallies to what @MasterScythe said above, I reckon their fuel is not good at all.

    • true there is something fishy with coles fuel i get less mileage with their fuel.

      • But 100km less?? That's a very large difference considering your average car does 500km/tank

        • Yes I agree it's a very large difference. I filled up twice and measured the mileage which for full tank lasted me around 500~530 kms mark. Where as the 7 Eleven fuel always goes beyond 600~630 kms mark.

  • Nuts, I'm diesel.

  • …you can get free fuel with this…just fill up ~12 cents worth of fuel each go since there doesn't seem to be a limited amount of times you can do it and pay cash, since 2 cent coins dont exist and it's too low to round up to 5 cents, you get it off for free! Granted it'll take a while though to fill up your ride; 12 cents of fuel in, then put up and go pay for your 12 cents of fuel, come back to the car and fuel up again for another 12 cents worth, rinse and repeat until your tank's full with free fuel….and holding up the queue….hahahaha….but if you got time to spend and nothing better to do and don't care for angry car drivers waiting in line behind you if there are any, then by all means go ahead! hahaha…. The servo's people can't stop you because you're not breaking any regulations or law because the promo does say you can use it as many times as you want and 12 cents is over the 11 cent minimum spend amount, so… ¯_(ツ)_/¯

How would that work? It is $0.10/litre discount. And minimum delivery is 2L at the pump.

      • …where does it say you can only use it on 2L min or more at the pump in the terms and conditions, hmmmm?

        • +1

At the actual fuel pump. Something along the lines of "Minimum delivery 2L".

        • @t25: Oh really?! I had no idea…..maybe I might try to read signage at the pump one day….and see for myself…..does this go for all fuel pumps or just the coles branded/owned ones?
