Bought this on a previous deal for 31.59 delivered, A few dollars cheaper.
I looked at a few reviews before I bought it and I was really impressed at the quality of the knife when it arrived.

I spose it's for cutting as opposed to stabbing.

Was that you I saw on Border Security.
If you are referring to the guy with 15 bags of dried squid in his bag, like I told the officer, I swear I didnt know it was there. My girlfriend packed my bag it's all her fault.
You're not allowed to bring dried squid into the country? I guess it's never crossed my mind if that's allowed or not.
saw an asian older couple get inspected by quarantine over their SUITCASE full of vacuum sealed WHOLE cobs of corn
@furythree: Oh yeah. Asian countries (mostly China?) love to vacuum seal everything. I don't get it.
That's weird - I assume they're in the ocean anyway and we're surrounded by that.
I swear I have been stabbed by one of these on Battlefield 4.
I bet they didn't ask Joerg if they can use his video on their store page.
—Edit. Oh wait, he did do a sponsored knife review video a while ago didn't he.
Is the sale bullshit though? It says 40% off but all of the Ganzo knives are about that price, sale or not.
I ordered a 7531 instead.
Do GearBest just not bother with GST?
Great for when your gang wants to have a cook off with another gang in the train station car park.
That's not a shank… This is a shank

That's not a knife. That's a thing used to dig food
@tomkun01:
I see you've played shanky-diggy before.
Will this get through customs? I bought a folding knife (WITHOUT a spring action) online and all i got was a letter from customs letting me know they confiscated it.
Mine did, I can't see why this one wouldnt. It's got no spring action whatsoever.
Spring loaded ones are specifically prohibited. I think the rule of thumb is - if you can open it with one hand easily, it's most likely banned.
Single handed non-assisted folding knives have been legal to import into Australia since 2016 with the common sense amendment to the prohibited import laws. Not sure why your knife was confiscated at customs unless it was double-edged, assisted, or a style of knife that is still prohibited. Out of curiosity, what knife was it? I have been able to import single handed folders without issue since the amendment. Even the knives that have been stopped, inspected by customs, have been sent on their way with a note from Border Force saying they checked and cleared it. One of those knives was a Ganzo. Maybe you just got unlucky with the Border Force officer that wasn't well versed in the new knife laws.
Everyone still needs to keep in mind that just because the knives can be imported into Australia, whether or not they are legal to possess in your State or Territory may vary. A lot of states still have archaic laws that haven't been updated to reflect the new federal import laws.
The single handed opening knives which were controlled were knives that have a blade folded or recessed into the handle which is capable of being opened by gravity, inertia or centrifugal force. These knives will no longer be controlled goods and may be imported into Australia without permission. The possession of such knives will still be subject to the relevant laws of the States and Territories.
The purpose of this amendment is to reduce confusion for industry and individuals. These knives have previously caused confusion amongst these groups as to whether they were controlled goods or not. This was because similar knives that can be deployed rapidly, but without being opened by gravity, inertia or centrifugal force, are not controlled on importation.
The amendment will allow importers to import single handed opening knives that can be opened by gravity, inertia or centrifugal force. These knives have many legitimate uses, including for use in outdoor recreational activities such as camping, mountaineering and hiking.
The controls on knives such as automatic, assisted opening and butterfly knives will remain under the PI Regulations.

Actually it was definitely was prior to 2016, so that's probably why it was snagged. I tried to bring up the listing from dealextreme and the webpage no longer works so it's been some time (ordered in 2013).
Thanks for the info, I might go shopping for a new knife now.
Is this a new kind of porn?
Prefer the newer FB models with the berring,
much smoother opening/closing.
is the carbon fibre really smooth or does it have a bit of grip?
It is smooth but does feel grippy, coloured G10 handles do have rougher texture .
Why the meat cleaver design?
