Seems to only work if you set up a brand new account and choose the 'join now' option. If you try to 'buy as a gift' (with a new account) or try to do either options with an existing account it will revert to the full price.
I tried before with existing accnt. It was $53

I clicked through Shopback's website, which brings me to Microsoft home page (shopback buddy green), but as soon as I search Xbox Live Gold and click through, it turns red on the page where I buy. Am I going to get the CB if I proceed? Happened mutliple times, no adblocker on the page
Why are you searching the ms website. Why are people having so much trouble. It’s not that hard. Click on the shopback link above. Click on the red ‘get deal’ next to the ‘Microsoft Xbox live 12 month deal’. It takes you directly where you need to go

Mine didnt track with cashback.com.au either, my click through is recorded, just no cashback.
Just placed a Missing Cashback request with them.
Frustrating and here's hoping it gets resolved in less than the 90 days they say on the form.
I know stuff happens and Cashrewards has missed 2 or 3 for me over the years - just not a great experience on my first attempt.
And sorted now - I got $13 credited to my shopback account.
