Waits patiently for environmental or Landfill comment.

Just a reminder, don't throw batteries out in the general waste, the toxic chemicals and metals can leak when they erode in landfill and contaminate the environment.

Aldi, Officeworks, Ikea and Battery World have drop off points where they take them for free and recycle them.

      • If only ALDI, Officeworks, IKEA and Battery World had as many batteries as my local environment does..

No, I'm not shitposting - it's actually a massive problem with next to no awareness.

    Cheap NiMH batteries.

    Claim "1100 but minimum 800".

The AA claim "2800 but minimum 2100".

    Sounds misleading to me.

Did a quick search for actual tests and the AA seem to be much closer to 2100 than 2800. With question marks also about the LSD part. Which means the claimed cycle life is also suspect.

    I think I'll pass.

    • LOL, yea i saw 1100mah and was like as if.
There are no reputable brands making any AAA which are over 1000mah.

Even Sanyo / Panasonic don't have a AAA which are 1000mah and they spent heaps in research. Highly doubt a unknown company like Bonai would come up with something that has higher capacity. haha

  • are they good as!!

  • are these the batteries that match this item ?

Look at the Ikea made in Japan LSD batteries, you wont get as many for $18, but heck how many do you need if you can recharge, and better to have known brand such as ikea and their reputation on the line and made in Japanese capacity claims than made in China capacity claims from Bonai and Bonais reputation.

        Translated:

Consider buying the "Made in Japan" Low-Self-Discharge (LSD) batteries sold at Ikea. They won't be as cheap. But how many batteries do you really need if you can recharge them? Ikea's batteries have a good reputation (as do most/all made in Japan LSDs) and they back them by putting their brand name on them. The capacity claims are (more accurate) than the "Made in China" capacity claims (from Bonai).

Honestly the poster just missed a word or two or auto-correct did something funky in that last sentence, it's not that hard to read.

I know, I was taking the piss. A full stop or two would go a long way though.

        • But how many batteries do you really need if you can recharge them

Aldi AA is 2500mAh. I just bought a couple last week.

  • So these are shit? Ikea is better?

    • not necessarily BUT ikea, aldi, eneloop and other brands have been tested and hammered on forums, this is an untested brand and you can take pot luck or wait for people to have tested and posted results.

      • Also much more likely to believe stated capacity for known brands (i.e. Aldi 2300 mAh/IKEA 2450 mAh for AA battery) versus a claim of 2800mAH with a caveat it could be as low as 2100 mAh.

  • That's a whole lot of loving.
