This might be the cheapest price for this 2018 65" model beating the previous price of $4350!

In 12 months this will be about 3k.
By Xmas even …
Starts at 8:00PM AEST.
If you value picture quality, nothing really comes close to an OLED and the price reflects that.
Yep I'd recommend sitting at least 2 metres back
Yeah i have a 65ks8000 and even tho its great you can still see slight banding in the corners wish i had paid more for an oled but next tv it will be :)
Go an enjoy a soniq 65" mate..
I love how I got negged by people who haven't done their research and just think the latest and greatest is always superior regardless of price. I didn't question whether OLED or QLED for that matter was good. I too would like one at a reasonable price, questioned whether it was worth triple the value of a comparable tv currently available. I say no, if you have the money, by all means go ahead.
By all means then… what have you concluded with your research? What's the best TV to buy right now?
You literally just only insulted people who are buying this, you didn't even question if it was worth it. Makes sense that it was negged.
by all means go ahead yet you say they have more money than sense.. you wonder why you were negged?
Wata rip
Deal is live, shipping is a bit steep for delivery to Victoria at $160 though.
OLEDs needs to be shipped upright and have a dectector on the box but that much is a joke..
I'll put this in my wish list.
Local HN offered me $4250 but still more than what I'm willing to pay!
SKU: OLED65C8PTA
Energy Rating: 4 Stars
Energy Consumption: 554kWh/yr
Awesome TV but looks like OLED use a lot of power?
Last year's model had an estimated operating consumption of 154 W, this year's will have increased (120Hz panel).
Unsure what the calculations are for the kWh/yr figure, as it will vary wildly based on the nature of the content and the brightness setting. These days there's overlap between OLED and LCD if it's fairly bright content and the LCD has its backlight turned down fairly low.
Remember that these are HDR panels, and thus designed to push towards 1000 nits in brightness for such content (820 nits on this unit).
Using eBay code PARKA at videopro_online this is $4,290 (plus $77 shipping to me in VIC from QLD)

anyone have any feedback on Kogans 55inch oled for 1599:
https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/55-oled-smart-4k-tv-hdr/
Specs seem similar to lg
You can't compare LG's oled with kogan. Even samsung can't make oled is their flagship 9series model. Kogan's oled is probably a oled wannabe. It's probably backlit lcd panel just like any other cheap 4k tv in the market. Don't get dupe in kogan's marketing literature.
What the hell are you even talking about man. This is just embarrassing to see someone speak so completely out of their ass.
Kogan are most likely using a panel made by China Star Optoelectronics Technology.

Retravision still a thing?
not sure if this is really a deal
