Took a punt at this, and wasn't too bad. Does everything I need it to do, Very handy for portable dual screens!
Obviously some might have a different experience.
Works with both Windows and Mac (Using is on win 10 currently). Only about 30 min into using it, but seems to be 'minimal' lag not zero, but that may be due to the low power integrated GPU I'm using it with.

      Actually you're somewhat right - I thought I paid about $25 for it - checking my apple purchases, it was $19.99
      So this is $5 cheaper - but they must have hiked the price by $10 at some point.

    I purchased this a while ago - actually paid full price, but have found it amazing being able to use my iPad as a second screen with my MacBook Air while on the go.
    Haven't used it in Windows, but from OSX, it hasn't missed a beat.

    Duet staff state that this has been reported to Apple,but they have yet to release a fix

    If you're on MacOS 10.13.4 or above, it apparently no longer works, or has full function (they've been linking people privately to imperfect workarounds on Twitter or offering full refunds).

    Requires a subscription to work with Apple Pencil I believe. Astropad is better for pencil support, but it's not available on Windows.

    Really useful if you do a bit of business travel. Second screen where ever you go. Also great if you sit on hours of boring Webex/Skype calls… drop the boring presentation on the iPad screen and keep working on you main screens.
