    Mostly good product.
You can create a windows image from ToDo Backup whilst you're using it windows. No need to use a boot disk. Also has boot disk options.
I've been using the server versions of this for my clients. V11 is the latest.
There are some user interface issues that could be better. Support is normally helpful though if you need it.

  • Please note you need to be authenticated by 14 o'clock on July 24, 2018

Since every reinstall requires the license code I'm thinking that trying to reinstall it after this date won't work. Sounds like it's not so much a free copy as a free activation. However I can't confirm this.

      You are right.

Just add the serial to the main post. Also might be worth mentioning that it's a free activation only, not to be reactivated or reinstalled.

Not sure if its a generic code..

It is. Same one. It's obviously just a set-time activation code. After that time/date it won't be valid any more.

Everyone gets the same code. Previously MOD has to take the posted code down due to EaseUS complaints.

  • good app, paid $30? for a lifetime license a few months ago

  • thanks OP!

  • Recent versions are bullet proof. Been using this for a decade.

  • I used the trial a month ago and wished I had the full version. Thanks OP!

  • Yeah these products are kind of a pain sometimes. ive tried re-installing some of them after having to rebuild and they no longer work/activate.

  • Thank you very much. Have been using v10 free for a while now and like it. Nice to get the full version😊

  • Thank you OP

Is there any benefit these days for these products when Veeam offers a free version for home use? https://www.veeam.com/windows-endpoint-server-backup-free.ht…

(URL says "server" but it works on consumer versions of Windows as well)

    • Very interesting. I'm thinking of using this to image my laptop to NAS

    • Doesn't really compare, Veeam Agent apparently only offers you the ability to create a single backup job whereas most other software like EaseUS ToDo, (Aomei Backupper, SyncBack, etc), allow you to create multiple backup jobs.

If you only want a single backup job then that's fine, of course.

Also, since I am looking for backup software that can detect the insertion of USB devices as destinations, I tried Veeam Agent, it didn't detect the drive insertion whereas EaseUS ToDo does, every time.

  • May sound bad of me to ask but, I'd imagine it's possible if its an offline tool to copy where-ever it hides the activation key and then re-package it as an offline installer ?

    • Looks like there's offline activation processes, take the Machine Code and Activation key to generate your activation code.
Next time you install, deliberately install it in an offline status and when it asks to activate change out the relevant details to activate (presuming its the same PC/Machine Code)

      • Or you can use something like RegShot to do a before and after activation snapshot of the registry and filesystem to capture license changes.

These can then be reapplied in a subsequent reinstall.

  • Cheers, had a copy of this but wasnt enough for my HDD to SSD OS transfer needs.

Ended up using Macrium Reflect and EaseUS's partition master 12.9

Where is the arrow on the page?

    • I couldn't see an arrow either?
      Possibly expired?
The Japanese near the top of the page says the deal is valid between 12:00 AM Jul 23 and 12:00 AM Jul 24.

        It's the pointing finger cursor.

        • Thanks.

Very strange that it took about 10 to 15 minutes to register the licence code once the program was already installed on a laptop and desktop.

  • Thank You

  • Just finished activating licence - took 35 minues on a desktop - for a generic code that's a long time even if millions of people are activating.

  • FWIW I just tried using this to transfer a 500GB drive (Windows 10) to a 500GB SSD (Crucial MX500 off recent eBay deals). It reported everything good, and everything seemed to be ok initially but did some testing (I'm paranoid) and found some disk errors. I've done this sort of thing before so wasn't too worried (it's not unusual due to slightly different drive translation tables) so ran a disk check etc, rebooted…. and still issues. Put the old drive back in and all good. Sigh. So glad if it works for everyone else, but didn't do so well for me. Maybe it's perfect for file backup, but volume copies might want to check everything is ok after a transfer. I then tried the Acronis software from Crucial - but it's a special edition and needs to detect a crucial ssd to work and didn't recognise my drive in the external holder, I then tried Veeam - looked great but on booting from the recovery key it then refused to read the backup file although it could be seen plainly…. then tried to load the file off the network, but it refused to see my server. Time to give up.

So I fired up my Unitek dual bay dock and used that to clone the drive. Pressed button, walked away for lunch, came back and it was finished. Put in laptop, came up with an initial error, but after a check all was good.
