Camtasia Studio 9 Is not the latest version, to upgrade will cost you $99US

    • It's newer than version 2 for my old Mac that I got as part of a StackSocial bundle :)

  • Is this only available to subscribers? I can't seem to pay the $1 only - cart always ends up $11.80 ($1 + $10.80 first month with 10% discount)

    • You should be able to. I paid $1 USD yesterday. These prices on Humble Bundle is in $USD so it converts to about $1.40 AUD.

Looks like you need to unselect humble monthly.

    • You are clicking on the option 'add to cart' for the monthly one. You need to remove that and scroll down a bit further and you'll see the checkout options.

Oh my, I remember Camtasia studio. That was a great thing to use when I was a kid making Runescape videos. Simple, efficient and customisable enough.

  • SnagIt is amazing. So good in an office to be able to quickly and easily capture part screens and highlight bits, make notes etc.

Yeah, or you could use Greenshot which does the same, is free, and can be connected to cloud providers for easy upload and sharing.

Cheers, might look at that for home if it's free. We just have snagit available at work, can't say I've investigated other options.

        • Same, it is great but free is better.

OBS studio for Windows 7 and later, macOS 10.10 and later, and Ubuntu 14.04 and later is a good free replacement for Camtasia and much less resource intensive.

  • I'm looking to do multi-track video editing for a vlog.
Input sources will be multiple webcams, multiple microphones, possibly some camera footage and some web browsing/app usage.
Lower thirds, intros/outros, fadein/out screens all needed as well.

Is there a better option out there for under $20 (or even $120? for the upgrade to Camtasia 2018)

  • If anyone has access to Camtasia 9, I am willing to purchase it from them. Please PM me. Thanks!
