Avoid any suits which are not 100% wool (or linen/silk as appropriate). For the wool suits at the prices offered, it may be worth spending a bit more and getting an Anthony Squires suit on sale at DJs (550-650, limited styles each sale) using discounted gift cards for a further 10% off, plus cashrewards/shopback for another 5-8% off.

    • +2

Agreed. Only purchase 100% wool. One can easily get at TM Lewin for around $300.

      • Another shop to bookmark.

  • The's a couple of suits around 40% off but most look like they're only around 30% off….

Additional offer: Take 50% off 2nd Suit

Is that a further 50% off on top of the original sale price?

    • +1

Hi Dinjay. It's 50% off the Sale price of the second suit e.g. purchase 2 x suits that are both reduced to $199 = pay $298.50

      • +1

So, $150 for a poly viscose suit… Not a bargain IMO.

        • Hi Carpe Diem. The offer extends to any suit including Wool and 2-Trouser. The quality is high so some would agree this is a very good offer (up to you/them though).

          @Stafford Ellinson:
Upon review I've found the 100% wool suit for $279.50. So purchasing two suits, works out at $209.63 for a 100% wool suit. Excellent price.

That being said, I cannot uptick the deal because the website is highly frustrating to use. The material makeup of the suits is not listed for all suits & found myself wasting a lot of time. The term 'Rich' is toally meaningless & would strongly suggest in describing the wool/poly ratios.
Also the photos are inadequate & limited, which is peculiar considering you're trying to persuade someone to spend hudnreds of dollars…

Also, suit shapes vary greatly & by not having a Sydney store, along with 'returns' are at the cost of the purchaser!? No deal, for me.

@Carpe Diem: Go with TM or CT mate. All these so called "boutiques" don't live up to the mark..thats my experience..

        • @stockastics: Already do mate. Big fan of both brands but increasingly more so the later.

        • @stockastics: I know TM but what is CT?

        • +2

          @dealhunt:

          you don't know CT???
          ctshirts.com/au

the last time I tried to suggest TM/ CT I was bagged for not supporting local businesses
Despite the fact that the suits were made in East Asia

        • +1

@docians: I only buy CT non-iron shirts now. I believe the 3 for $99 deal is still on. I slightly prefer the cut & material over TM.

        • @Carpe Diem:

wasn't there someone quite recently saying that CT shirts weren't comparable to his regular ones, as they began to fade after three years of regular use

        • @docians: I've not seen that comment but remember some have questioned TM of late. I've received one very poor quality shirt from them recently.
3yrs of use? Guess it dependss on the number of shirts the person owns but could well be on the way out if they didn't own many.

        • @docians: The last time an Australian company (Golden Circle) supported Australia (their own business) it was discovered that they used to buy from Asia and to sell in Australia to help Australia while poor Australians believed by buying Golden Circle products they could be proud of being Australians.
Golden Circle's CEO "apologised" to all Australians for "disappointing" them, in the mean time Golden Circle was already transferring its business (built with Australians' tax payers money) to Asia.
This is how business works, you guys keep dreaming……

        • @docians: I would be happy if my shirt lasts for 3 years when buy price is only $33..

        • @docians: local businesses that scam locals by providing cheap shit?

        • @Carpe Diem: I wear CT shirts and suits as well. I find the shirts last for 2-3 years with once/wk use. Not had any issues with suits so far but Boss suits are much better (dearer as well).

        • @stockastics:

don't CT have limited styles though
eg I have bought their pink oxford shirt, and their violet twill shirt, and their colours are near identical

15 shirts and I think I can't find new styles

        • @stockastics:

yes but make us feel guilty, because if we don't buy from them, poor Australians would loose jobs

        • @docians:

          Sorry lose jobs

        • +1

@docians: I don't mind paying a premium for Aus made goods. The issue is these so called businesses are only importers and re-sellers.Import from China/Asia and re-sale at a big markup. I can't support such businesses.

        • @docians: yes, 15-20 styles at CT. TM has few more. How many do you need? People at my office usually wear only white (boring), which makes me wonder if they are wearing the same shirt twice..

        • @stockastics:

Wouldn't that cover 90% of clothing/ department stores though? You have to buy something somewhere. On another note where do you get your non suit trousers from?

        • @docians:CT does chinos as well or I go to DFO.

        • @stockastics:

They do but cost $79 EA. DFO too far for me. Are CT chinos good.

Their latest catalogue shows arrow weave shirts and a red twill shirts which aren't on their website.

So new that they aren't on their website :)

        • @docians:yes, bit pricey but quality is good. DFO- you can get good deals. Lately I have been shopping a bit on Ozsale. You get last season stock for cheap, bit of hit and miss at times. I bought some David Jones clothes from Ozsale and they were quite cheap and decent quality
