  • Does anybody have the manual links for Commonwealth users?

    • Isn't combank going to ditch amex soon too?

      • Yep. End of October I think.
Want to make this annual fee I paid worth it with these Amex deals…

  • +1

No DJ offer? The link only shows Avis and kitchen warehouse.

  • All 3 offers showed up in my Amex Platinum Edge via the Amex app. Thanks OP

  • +2

Amy manual link for the David Jones offer?

  • No DJs on both my DJs Amex and Velocity Escape (have previously used both cards on DJs Online before); maybe it's for those that haven't used it on the Online store before? Got the othet two though

  • Enrolled in DJ and KW via app. That said, KW's prices aren't crash hot compared to what can be had elsewhere.

    • +1

You can always price match the bigger items to maximise value.

The DJ credit offers are getting lower and lower

    • Yep, last one was 40 back on 200 IIRC

      • If I recall correctly the very first Amex offer for DJ was about 30-40percent credit back. Which was really fabulous. I remember telling this deal to the DJ cashier as I bought all those gift cards and she was genuinely excited and couldn't wait to apply for an Amex card.

    • Yep. Probably not even worth getting some GCs for a measly 10-15% off something at some point in the future.

      • You can use GCs to buy discounted items in the sale so they effectively become double discounted…

        • +1

DJ gift cards can be bought for 10-15% from various rewards programs

    • they all are. DJ, Harvey Norman, Dan Murphy etc..

  • Got all 3 on my AMEX Explorer. Thanks Op

  • DJs is targeted? I don't have access.

  • Shame Avis is only for a short time period (2 September)

  • Kochie gives his regards

  • can you buy DJ egiftcard online to get cash back?anyone tried?or can you split payment online using amex?

    • Yes to the first question, no to the second question.

      • so you mean egiftcard an gift card both can receive the cash back

        • In theory, yes but physical gift cards attract a $5 delivery fee

        • @kerfuffle:

The offer terms say that spending on E gift card is not eligible for statement credit. Are they lax on enforcing this? Have you actually tried it?

        • @Melburnian: It's Amex who enforce it so YMMV. Everyone here says Amex have no way of seeing what you buy so …

If you need to buy something at Kitchen Warehouse anyway, use this offer on July 19th for to also receive a set of 4 mugs and free pie.

  • Darn. I actually need the DJs offer. Don't have it though.

    • Have you tried desktop version? I checked 3-4 times today on the app, nothing. They appeared on my explorer and edge when i log in desktop site

      • Still nothing for me but I have used both cards on DJs Online before (see previous comment I made)

Did forumninja go on holidays? Where is our direct link expert?

  • David jones just cancelled two of my gift card orders. Wtf

    • Care to provide more details?

      • called them up and the reason for cancelling is because i used two different cards to pay for 2 orders. Both cards under my name, my billing address and my account has been registered for over 5 years. Their security system flagged it then it was manually cancelled with no phone call to ask for an explanation.

She says I need to place 1 order at a time to get around this "security" issue. I don't know if I will still get a credit now..

        • I always place my orders 7 - 10 days apart to avoid this problem.

        • @SydneySwan:

mine has been cancelled again after ordering only 1 x $200 e-giftcard. Has anyone been successful ordering e-giftcard? the $100 get $20 credit back in May worked with no problems..

        • @googoogaga: Mine just got cancelled too, about to check why. Just 1 order of $200 gift voucher to be sent to email. Amex statement came through but will probably get revoked once refund comes back. Never had a problem with David Jones before. Must be their new system.

        • @aoiro:
I've tried 4 times in total and the only one that succeeded was the one I "sent" to my wife with the message "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
David jones needs to get their shit together.

    • mine was marked as fraudulent order , money taken from the cc, no response from customer service… usual Dj service.
month ago they cancelled 2 online orders without any explanation

  • How long does it take for DJ to issue the egift card?

    • -2

E gift card won't be eligible as different cart to store cart which had physical cards

  • +1

I can’t see Kitchen Warehouse on the page? Does anybody have a link?

  • Has anyone successfully gotten the statement credit after ordering the David Jones e-gift card?
The offer terms specifically say "Excludes payments made for eGift Cards" but I don't know how strict they are on that.

  • Seeing as it's close to expiration, can anyone comment if they've indeed bought egift cards from DJ's online, received their egift card, and got the credit?

    • i've only had 1 order successfully processed and can confirm that I did receive credit for it.
Good luck getting your e-giftcard orders through though.
