  • I'm after something like this to get some fat off some pavers where the BBQ used to be and some mould off a concrete block retaining wall and cleaning some treated pine logs around some garden beds. I'd also use it from time to time to wash the car. From my research I've discovered that Gerni type cleaners seem to come in a wide range of PSIs and accessories. Can anyone who has a Gerni (or similar) tell me whether this might be suitable?

    • +1

YES! I bought this the order and it's amazing. The foam sprayer for laying down a cleaning agent whether it be a car cleaner or disinfectant is just insanely good. Highly recommend.

    • I used mine to clean retaining wall very easy, also mould of another retaining wall. Its not as powerful as petrol ones but for the price it does a good job.

The Patio Cleaner makes easy work of cleaning concrete and pavers, even used it for cleaning brick walls as well. Supposedly can use for roof cleaning but I havent used it there yet

      • Patio cleaners are great, but i probably wouldn't want to use on on a tiled roof, in case some of the water was pushed up under the tiles and dripped onto the ceiling. I just use the adjustable lance and spray from the top towards the gutters to avoid this happening.

        • What is an adjustable lance and spray?

    • Just remember, that if the pavers are concrete, and not sealed, then the fat will be absorbed by the concrete (concrete is porous) and it will not be removable by a gerni. If they are sealed or clay pavers, then it will be easier to remove.

  • I've owned one of these and used it less than the fingers on my hands within the year. The seal on the gun connector goes first, i've researched that its a very common problem amongst gerni.

    • Bunnings is great for returning faulty goods

    • The actual gun on mine failed after about 3 uses. The little white plastic valve inside the gun is an absurdly weak design. I couldn't be shagged taking back to where I bought (SCA) so did warranty claim direct though Nilfisk which was very easy.

  • Does not seem to be much comments on this item i take its not the best deals there been,im after something cheap but will last to clean patio area and car.
As it says it was much more has me thinking its a good deal?
Would be good if i was able to buy discount gift cards to get for less any ideas.

  • What stands out from the one listed compared to this below apart from one listed being more powerful.
    One below is $99 cheaper.

  • What about this one that's $149 what is difference again from Bunnings:

Gerni Classic 125.5 Titan Corded Pressure Cleaner Which looks like to me has same extras.

    • Yeah the $100 Supercheap and the $149 look to be closer specs, I recon the Supercheap is a runout price as its sold out any many states and can not be ordered online for delivery.

Comparing this special from supercheap would be this one
      http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Gerni-Classic-125-2…

      • Im confused so supercheap one is not as good and you say not a powered head type patio cleaner what about the bunnings one for $149 i believe this was an expensive model.
Im not sure what to get the $149 model i think was on offer last month and or this one at $199.
Personally i wanted something cheap but if its a better quality item then better to spend that bit more.
Are you saying the supercheap and bunnings model i listed are not with powered head patio?

  • to anyone interested in the crate, Aldi have similar

  • I too would like some advice on whether to get the $149 or $199 from Bunnings. Similarly, looking for best value for patio, path and other outside cleaning jobs.

  • Well from only looking online.

The $199 patio brush shows a picture of the $99 motorised brush and the Desc says Classic Patio Cleaner

The $149 says Classic Patio Cleaner but shows the $39 accessory

That would be the $50 difference. The higher psi from the $199 is the discount :)

Guess you need to see in store what's really on offer

  • +1

The $349 Gernie is the same as the $199 but the patio cleaner was half the size on the $199.
The $149 is slightly less Psi and a different style patio cleaner.

They will all do what you want maybe just a little slower…

If you have a large area you probably need the biggest you can afford

  • So did anyone buy the $199 Gerni so far?
What are your thoughts, if you bought it and have used it ?
I am looking for one for washing my cars.

Is this on offer? Seems like the standard price to me.

    • I went in to local Bunnings today. The chap told me that the $199 Gerni is coming with extra attachments currently.

He also told me that they receive more Karcher returns than Gerni or Ryobi.

      • I am sorry.

I went in my local Bunnings today to pick up the 130.0 Gerni on $199 deal.
Disappointed to see that it had been put back on its usual price of $299.

I was about to walk out, when I noticed that the display unit still had $199 price tag on it.
I took a quick picture of the price tag on my mobile, and then draw the attention of the assistant nearby, asking to buy the unit.
When I pointed the $199 price tag to him, he immediately ripped it off, blaming the "Marketing guys".

He pointed me to a slightly lesser power unit (125.5 or something), selling @ $199.
However, I pressed him if he would acknowledge the price tag, to which he said that he is only been 6 months at job, and would likely lose his job over this pricing error. Instead he offered me a $25 Customer Satisfaction discount on it. I asked for more, but he couldn't do any more.

Being God fearing, I didn't want to put anyone in trouble. I do acknowledge, the deal had expired, so I could have gone 2 days earlier and taken it on $199.

Anyway, I paid $274 for it, and called it a day.
I know this is very un-OzBargainer like, I am sorry.

I bought it a few weeks ago using powerpass to bring it down to $189.
This was to replace an 8 years old karcher K2 that died on me, plastic pump was leaking.

Used the gerni once so far, and pretty satisfied with the added pressure (compared to K2)

Also tried the recent K3 deal from costco currently @ $199 too and they are very similar, the gerni having more accessories bundled together.

I'm guessing bunnings reduced price is to make way for a newer gerni 130.4 soon?
