As a general rule of thumb, to ensure successful cashback tracking of your purchase, make sure you disable any ad blocking software/extensions you may have and you only browse Amazon after clicking through ShopBack.

Cashback is not qualified for:

  • Promo codes or Voucher codes not approved by ShopBack
  • Returns, exchanges & cancellations
  • Amazon app purchases
  • Items added to cart before clicking through ShopBack
  • Purchases paid with gift cards/store credit

Other Terms and Conditions:

  • Cashback is only available on purchases made at Amazon AU (not Amazon US)

    Good deal. CR doesn't do the tracking automatically and we have to email the invoice after 7 days. Then wait another 7 days or so before any response. When responded, they cannot ooen my pdf attachment, so need to resend again. Tired of doing manual stuff. Hopefully SB is better in handling the transaction.

      Yep, I haven't had a successful claim yet on CR. I am actually quite puzzled at the amount of publicity it gets. At the very least it should be able confirm a purchase has been made and they are aware of it, nope, nothing.

      I've made 4 purchases through CR now and all required me to manually emailing them, telling them the transactions occurred.

      Hopefully this is a much better service. Competition is always good :)

        That's odd; I've made a few purchases through CR and Amazon was the only one it didn't track automatically, the other sites were fine.

        Yeh CR used to track everything, now it tracks almost nothing. Maybe too many blocking extensions, but I haven't changed them recently, and have disabled Adblock on CR and the other website, still nothing. I barely bother anymore.

          Too many blocking extensions but you've only disabled Adblock? Sounds like those other blocking extensions are contributing to the affiliate networks not tracking your purchase. Make sure they're disabled on both the cashback website AND the merchant you're shopping at.

      Had the same experience. In fact, very few of my purchases seem to successfully track through CR now. They do honour it IF I manually follow up, but it's a hassle.

    How long does a sale take to register with these guys? I still don't have one registered for the ebay sale yesterday. I don't want to waste my using these guys at Amazon if its hit miss like the cashrewards early days.

      Tracking of sales vary from merchant to merchant. Some can track in a few hours, other days.

      With eBay, transactions take a little longer - it takes a few days to pull in information from their network, but as soon as we've received such transactional information we will credit customer accounts accordingly with their cashback.

    Purchases paid with gift cards

    Does this include Amazon credit? Eg $10 prime video credit.

    Also, if I have say a $50 purchase and $45 of credit/vouchers do I get 6% x $5 (minus GST and other taxes) or nothing?

      Hey pennypincher98, thanks for bringing this up!

      We are going to say that it includes Amazon credit too, because when you add a gift card to your account you are essentially adding credit to your Amazon balance.

      Any payment involving credit (including split card and Amazon credit/gift card payments) would make the transaction ineligible for cashback.

      I also had a missing cashback with Dell as well. I feel like it might be a Dell thing. I've filed a report but still awaiting resolution. Kinda sucks cause I only purchased the item based on the cashback I was expecting to receive.

    Amazon US store refuse Australian to shop there because they don't want to collect/pay GST to the Australian government! Denies millions of Australian to the 50+ million goods on the US site. Forcing us to use Amazon australian site with limited and overpriced goods. I won't be shopping here.

      An important note we need to also bring up/reinforce is that cashback tracking doesn't work on items that are already in your cart before clicking through ShopBack. You must add them to your cart after clicking through ShopBack.

      Amazon purchases take up to 75 days to be approved. Each store we work with has a different validation period (some shorter, some longer) to ensure you don't return/cancel your order or break any other terms and conditions. Without this in place it can be easily taken advantage of.

    Just Used Shopback over CR for the first time. Did two purchase in Amazon AU via Shopback $744 and $110 on 5th Feb. Just received an email 55pm today (6th) saying my cashback has been credited into my account being $0 and $0???? When I logged in to check, the website says they are still calculating (so why showed $0 in emial???). Really confused right now and going to check again tmr - really annoying as well.
