Sounds to good to be true, wonder if they do a hard sell on extra prints

    • I would almost certainly expect it - $19 is too cheap.

Then again - if they are going to just do cookie cutter studio sit here/ look there type stuff its not exactly rocket science.

EDIT: Just had a look at their site - its actually not THAT much cheaper than their regular prices - the rrp of 679 is a bit misleading.
The most similar package they have on their website is:

      $50 Gift Package Package1

      2 Hour Portrait Session
      $300 credit towards prints
      Normally $500
      Now $50
      Save $450

The difference is the credit towards prints and the 1 free print.

    Hey
Can you please remove this from your post

P/s: My first post here… be kind. :)

    Thanks

    • yep, thats what the little one is for next to your name.

  • Catch is "slide show CD of your five favourite images" can I get the high resolution jpg out of those and print it out from my own online print service?

    • well its on CD - would be funny if its just 5 x 50kb 640x480 jpegs

      • +1

Most prefessional photography only provide you with low-res on CD. I'd say 640x480 would be about what you could expect… definitely NOT the originals.

        • really? why give it to you on CD then? why not just send it to you via email or put it up on ur facebook page lol. Under 1mb of data? WTF - An iphone would even be better.

        • CD only costs them about $0.30 or cheaper (unless they print on it, then it marks up the price a little).

Most people have a DVD player even if they do not have a computer/email address, so they can look at the pictures and stew over, maybe they should get a couple of prints … :)

    • Normally, I'd say probably not.. Its rare that any photographer will give you jpgs of the shoot as that in itself is how they make their money.. For $19, i just can't see that happening..

Seems like a pretty good offer.. $19 for a 10x8" photo and a cd slideshow.. $200 voucher for wall art won't go far..

  • No paypal :(

After you have used up your voucher value, they charge you $250 per 10" photo print. They don't even give you cd or a digital copy even if you want to buy one. I found this place a total rip off.

    • That's the normal ripoff of photo studios I think.
As a photographer myself I'd either charge $100 or do it for free. This 90% crap is shameful.

I went to one of those in Sydney, the guy was all nice and gave us a 2 hour shoot at the Rocks for free. 3 weeks later we went to his studio and convincely framed us to buy something from the shoot, we ended getting a canvas abour 75cm by 45cm. it cost about 650…..so you have been warned….

    • You spent 650 bucks on a 30" by 18" canvas of yourself.

      lol

it was my wife and I. the worst 650 i ever spent :) should of taken her to Tetsuya instead

Same here, I loss 500. But I have 3 framed photo (A4 size), one is "free" and the other 2 cost me $250 each.

For $200 credit they'll give you a pic for your wallet.

    • yeh, had the same experience with es studios aka es wedding in sydney, overpriced everything, photoshopped plastic looking shots, and a photographer with a bad attitude who thinks he's god's gift to the world.
