You guys do know you can get pretty much any magazine including current issues using your local library account and zineo/rbdigital right?

    • nope tell me more, does it cost money for a local library account? haven't had a library card since primary school, and no idea where that laminated paper is now :P

      • It's free

        • Yeah just went on the local library website, realised you just need a card number and Pin to create the account.
Man I'm heading there after work, that's amazing!

@camshandez: Check if your local library is a Kanopy member as well.

@camshandez: This is not a jab at you, but pretty much a sad state of affairs that public libraries aren't even known for the services they provide. I think there's a real issue with how libraries are marketed with the general public.

          @Munki:

It’s been on ozbargains for a few years now. No excuses.

You should be a better ozbargainer :p

@crazycs: Oh I'm not saying for me, I've known about them for ages, but that's because I frequent the library. But your everyday person who hasn't been to the library since primary school won't know about these services. That's what I'm getting at that libraries should be marketed better for the general public.

        • @Munki:
then more people will borrow books and it will be harder for me to get the books I want ;)

        • @Munki: Have to agree; I went to one near us for the first time because they had a JP there on rotation (needed doc's verified same day). Was genuinely astounded at what's in a modern library, having not been in one since school.

        • @Munki: Totally agree with you. I've had a few friends who are totally surprised that modern libraries lend out lots of current magazines and have a huge DVD library. If they don't stock a particular magazine then you can try and make a request, as I got my local to starting getting Aero Australia.

I just went to Your Library and signed up for an account which gives you a card number. Then you go to the RBDigital page (used to be Zinio) and it should give you the instructions to get the app or view it online in a browser. It's all free! I know, i couldn't believe it when my sister put me onto it, so it's the least I can do to share it around!

        • For Victorians only

        • Thanks, looks pretty useful. Pity it doesn't have Choice Magazine or any audiobooks (at least for my library), but interesting nonetheless.

        • @Sterio:

If i am not from melbourne, can i reister for this online??

          Regards

@fritzsticker: maybe check if you have a local library site for your area and if they participate. Rbdigital is used worldwide

        • @sAmiZZle:

          Noted with thanks

I'm blacklisted from my local library. I borrowed a CD 15 years ago and never returned it.

Good. Thieves who steal from the public should be banned from using their facilities.

Wheels is the Dailymail of automotive journalism. The car that wins the comparos is the one that paid top dollar.

    • Interesting claim. Any explanation of how you know this?

As below: Camira -Car of the Year

        • This is just a fault with any review. They don't test for reliability.

        • @MikeKulls: and shit cars?

  • +4

Didnt the Holden Camira win the Wheels car of the year?

    Nuff said.

Well deserved award mateπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€… i have owned two JB and JE…. JB was ok avg at best…. JE survived 200K without a single repair while i was On my Ps…. spinning wheels at every light….

      • Hope you never fully locked the steering wheel while reversing :)

      • JE SLI2000 was my P plate hoon mobile. 2L MPFI engine for the win.

      • is "spinning wheels" like a burnout?

    • +2

I don't get it? The don't judge on projected reliability

Does anybody know which issues of the magazine have tests on the Carla Zampatti Ford Laser and the Nissan Pulsar Reebok?

    • Both highly collectible vehicles these days.

  • +3

Straight to β€˜98 for the AU Falcon :)

    • They were dark times for Ford fans. Only recently, and reluctantly parted with an EF that was replaced with an FG-X.

  • And I used to read mine in-game on Mafia 3…

  • does anyone know how to download the magazines as PDF for offline viewing. Would love to compile the whole set to look back on in future.

Anyone want to make a full archive of every issue?
