More than 1 hour of waiting time on the phone with Dyson & then asked me to leave a message, happened for 2nd time. What a joke this company's customer service is..
Wow! Lots of unhappiness within… or one guy with no job and lots of time on his hands to write more than one review.
Their call line is a major joke. Doesn't matter what time u call it will take min 1hr and sometimes they just hang up on you after the long wait.

Dyson do make a good product, but it really depends on what your needs are. If you wanna zip through the house and do a surface clean, the stick vacs are great, just don't expect it to be on par with a plug in vac.
I recommend the V8 Animal, best performance/price ratio imo.
Anyone here tried the lg cordless vacuums?
This isn't a bad deal, but I really believe it is worth paying the extra for the V8. I've had both, the V8 has:
-More power
-Much longer battery life
-Easy to empty bin (The bin for the V6 is an absolute pain, you have to use your fingers to dig the dirt out half the time)
-The one thing that I almost never see mentioned is that the V8 is MUCH more quieter than the V6For anyone on the fence, I really recommend waiting for a good V8 deal
in one year's time, V8 will be $350
that way, in another 1yr from that point v10 will be 350 probably.. :-)
And in another year, there will be V20
+1 for emptying the bin.
90% of the time have to use fingers to get all the dust, so painful.

You can get the V8 Animal for 455 at the moment.
It only comes with a 12 month warranty as the product is from HK. I got my V8 from The Good Guys for about the same price two weeks ago and that came with Dyson's standard 2 year warranty.
Useless, don't last long, short battery hard to clean.

I presume everyone knows the V6 bin comes right off the body, no need to put fingers in to clean out!

The absolute version from Dyson comes with a lot more attachments. In other threads, people have mentioned that $350 for absolute version is a much better deal.
