I need another inexpensive caddy for adding a ssd for a laptop refurb.
For US $2.15 (AU $2.92) you can't go too wrong.
I just bought one for my next laptop project.
delivery takes 4-6 weeks.

an SSD weighs about 80grams.
when you place an ssd in a caddy and then inside a laptop it is never going to move.
there is no issue with the "sturdiness" of the caddy
Maybe LiveBargain15's laptop does parkour.
If the plastic break when u pull it in and out it will get stuck.
i`ve bought these many times before. it will not break doing that. you are talking nonsense.
Fair enough, when it does you will cry.
Something more sturdy like this for few cents more?
this is better
If I had a laptop die - but still have information on the HDD, can I use this to get the information off the internal HDD and into an external HDD?
Yeah if you have another laptop with a caddy CD/DVD drive you can pull out temporarily, otherwise get a USB to HDD adaptor.
You could also use these to replace the DVD drive in the Dell Optiplex refurbs, right?
Aren't those full height non-caddy DVD drives? If they are then what you need is a 5.25" tray for 3.5" drives.
these are 5.25. just thin. they would work.
I meant in the Optiplex, in reply to bdl.
project?
i would suggest you get a better one as this seem not sturdy enough.
