SSD Saga mate!!! I think the production cost has dipped or some sort of new SSD generation is on the horizon.

Man these are getting cheap. That’s great. Still doesn’t beat the $66 nvme though.

    This or the 250GB Crucial?

    • +3

I'd go with this solely for the extra capacity. Besides benchmarks, you won't notice a performance difference.

Intel all the way! So easy to RMA direct should anyone go wrong.

    • For what it’s worth I got the Crucial and I’m very happy.

My old i5 desktop hums along nicely now.

    • For daily/home use, get this, the bigger the better.
Ssd becomes so cheap now, i got the SsT5 250GB last week already and have no more need for under 1TB drive.

'cmon fellas - first deal with a 1TB SSD for under $100 wins!

Does anyone know with eBay plus 30 day trial, if I cancel now will it end immediately or at the end of the 30 days?

    • +3

You get it for the rest of the month, cancelling just stops your 30 days from renewing - from someone who has cancelled theirs.

Going to try this out as a USB drive for XBox One. Been waiting for a cheap one.

Also available from pcmeal and flash_pro for the same price. On the bus though, so bit hard to post links.

Very good price per GB. If someone is after a 2TB Micron drive you can get one from the US for ~$400 delivered on ebay

wonder if this will work with Apple MBP 2011?

I swapped mbp 2009 unibody (still running with core 2 duo) before with with sandisk ultra 2. So i dont see why not

Are there any other cashbacks or only Cash Rewards offering the highest rate for eBay atm?

    You had me at PIZZA…

    Intels have 5 year warranty.

And are Intel, not some outsourcing mob.

Not superfast, but reliable. Crucial's may be slightly better performance wise, but not in all performance tests, though for performane, you really need to move up the ticket price by several layers of magnitude

Is there any 500GB SSD under$100

    • There were some Netac and Ramsta deals recently
