In my opinion, the Talisker 10 is a better drop for around the same price.
Tend to agree. Prefer 'Storm' - but the 10 is what I've seen in bars overseas, and it is a good demonstration of what a well balanced Islay can be.
+1 for Storm. And First Choice (haven't looked further) has it for $75 at the moment.
I bought some Skye recently, just so I could see what it was like and much prefer the Storm.
The 10 is excellent hey. Skye is a bit lighter and sweeter so can be good for an intro to heavily peated whisky, but purists wouldn’t be in to it. Similar to the Laphroaig select cask and the Ardbeg An Oa
