what happened to my plus…its back

      • Prime is a LOT better than all these other memberships, you get a lot more out of it.

  • LG 34" getting cheaper and cheaper …

Got any 27" 144hz monitors on special?

  • How would the 34" ultra wide compare to a 32" 1080p monitor? The reason I ask is I have a 27" at 1080p which is fine, but when I tried a 32" the pixels were too big at 1080p and the picture quality suffered. I ended up quickly going back to the 27"

    • calculate the PPI

    • I think the 32" is 1920x1080 but this one is 2560x1080 should be better.

    • Theres also the likes of the Viewsonic 32" with 2560x1440 for around the same price. I'm not sure which would be better.

    • I have a 34" UW @ 2560x1080 (different model to this sale). It's the same physical height as a 27" 16:9 @ 1080p - you're gaining an extra 20mm in width overall compared to a 27".

I have no issues at all at that resolution and 2560x1080 is easier to power at 144hz compared to 3440x1440.

    • Hey Vita85; being a 2560x1080p monitor it is a lot better in my opinion. I have one myself, and for general Outlook/Excel, browsing and PUBG/Fortnite etc - I personally find it's pretty good.. though it will come down to personal preference I think!

  • Any Deals on the 32GB Intel Optane Memory??

    • +1

      What is this for?

      • Yeah I'm confused. Is it an SSD or is it RAM that goes in the M2 slot?

      • I had to research it because I never head of it before.
Looks like it is an extension to another HDD, which allows dynamic (smart) indexing and data availability based on the way you use your PC.

I'm not right around how it does it, but it assists in increasing read speeds on a target HDD to perform closer to SSD speeds when using apps it identifies you 'regularly' use.

        I have no idea.
It's neither an SSD or RAM, its basically RAM for a HDD.

        • It can be used as a boot drive, but some Intel boards will require some reconfiguring for that.

Works as a straight drive on AMD boards, but you can set it up as a HDD cache using software.

The real question is if 16 GB is enough for a decent disk cache.

@jasswolf: 16gb, according to Intel's own site, probably not. Hence why I asked for deals for the 32gb haha.

        • It is an SSD. You can do the same with SSD, and that's the basis of SSHD.

The DIMM Optane which is RAM like is coming. All current Optane are SSDs.

    • [checks] Not at their current price. O_O

      • Considering the retail price of the 16gb,this, and the non ebay plus price is already very good.

I really don’t wanna sign up for the membership. Is there anyway to get the OMEN external GPU at the low price?

  • wow this 34" getting cheaper every 2 days

  • Any gaming laptops? Hoping for something with a GTX1070,

  • Hi OP and all,

I am looking for monitor similar to Dell U2412M (1900X1200) with lower price tag.

I have limited space on my desk. Primarily for programming, typing and occasionally gaming (need for speed, minecraft).

Could you please recommend such monitor? Which brand has great after sale support like Dell?

    • How about HP HC240, also 16:10 at a lower price tag, not sure about after sale support.

      • I bought two hp monitors earlier this year. It took me 5 exchanges in three months time to finally get everything fixed.

  • is there a new model coming that's why LG UW dropping prices everywhere…?

    75hz monitor…
Kogan 144hz one is around the same price

    • -1

Kogan is not a brand name, you might as well go with Korean monitor which is better and cheaper than Kogan as well. I'm using a Crossover 27" QHD IPS which is 90Hz but has factory colour calibration enough to give some of the Dell Ultrasharp a run for their money, while having low enough 4ms gtg.

  • The 15% eBay Plus deal is not working for me. Keeps saying I've entered it too many times when I updated the code. I had not used the code previously.

    • Guessing this has expired now? :(

  • Good price on the Omen Accelerator..
-Bought mine during the last special for just over $500…

A few comments.. - The thunderbolt cable is super short… (probably to save costs)
The power supply / fans don't spin down when the laptop isnt connected..
    The device is massive..
Seems to be dropped shipped from HP.. via TNT express.. which is a pain in the ass to deal with…. Would have considered buying another at this price.. however don't want to take a day off work just to wait for the delivery..

Took a while to get all my drivers updated to get it working properly on my New XPS 13..
How to be careful how you connect and reconnect.. the omen accelerator.. else liable to crash / BSOD your laptop..

Basically, I figured out, I can't boot the machine with omen accelerator attached.. else a disconnect and reconnect will lock my machine up completely requiring a full hard reset.

Attached the omen accelerator, once the machine is into windows 10 seems to work fine..
have swapped the 1tb drive for a 4tb seagate drive shucked from a portable external backup drive..

Seems like a bargain for $450, when the dell TB16 thunderbolt dock replicator is between $300-$450 by itself..
