Townsville is the worst HJs in Australia, no great loss. Guaranteed their ice-cream or frozen drink machines are broken most of the time. Anyone know why the one at Domayne was closed for ages? My guess is the health inspectors finally got to them.

I can't stand them. Red Rooster's are still the best for mine.
I find KFC chips are still at the top of the pile. Had the most amazing medium chips the other day from Hungry Jack's though at around 11:30am, hopefully they stay good. I've had them numerous times since they've been thick cut and they've been okay just that time was great.
McDonalds are the most consistent, the others can be a lot better but also a lot worse.
If you are talking about freshness that just depends on the volume of the store. High volume stores always.have fresh chips because they haven't been sitting there for 25mins.
If they were all 100% fresh with the perfect amount of salt it'd be 100% HJ chips for me. I love the powdered texture of their salt, heaps better than granules.
Because Townsville will get even better deal?? 50cents for small chips!!! Haha

For those who don't mind a frozen drink over a standard soft drink. It is now cheaper to buy a burger on its own and get the $1 small chips and $1 frozen coke, than it is to buy a small meal.
Remember the good old survey on the bottom of the receipt? That is now a free chips and drinks with any burger- so that's even better!
