    Phone is fine

    • +2

      Is telephone fine?

    • What about through drive through? I've always wondered how you could use coupons at a drive through.

      • +1

You say you have a voucher when ordering and then they usually don't even ask to see it at the window. If they ask, well you show them your phone. Same as you would if you were standing at the counter.

        • Great! I'll try this out tonight.

    • Where does this originate from?

  • +14

    Value seems worse each cycle.

    Phone is fine

    • That is the point, inflation and they want you to pay more as you know the deals well already.

  • +2

Everytime i had used these vouchers. Always been phone is fine.

  • +1

just a whopper meal cheap would omtn trick …. instead it’s 2 person meal or no fries and drink.

    • -1

      Whats a omtn trick?

      Also any phone friendly vouchers?

      • When someone finds the link on the Hungry Jacks website I’ll copy/paste it into the post itself (or Mods will). Had these for few days but thought I’d post now as old ones expire tomorrow.

      • +7

Here is the link to access the vouchers on your phone. Follow the link -> 'Download vouchers':-) www.hungryjacks.com.au/exclusivedeals

        • Sorry i meant phone friendly vouchers

As in the vouchers arranged vertically

Btw are the vouchers and $1 frozen coke available all stores or just participating stores

        • It literally says " Valid only at participating HUNGRY JACK’S® Stores" on each voucher.

        • Still showing the old vouchers. Expiring today? Will they still accept them on the date of expiry?

    • Use the 2 junior and fries, then get a frozen coke. A junior whopper is the exact same as a whopper, just on a smaller bun.

      • +5

Na there is a difference in taste.

    • 2 person meal? I'm 67KG and they aren't even enough to fill me up.

      • +3

67 kg doesn't mean anything without your height or BMI, unless you are 150cm in which case you would be overweight and your statement of not being filled up would be true

        • +1

Eat ~9000kJ per a meal and they won’t be staying 67kg for long. Lol

Someone could be 150cm and 67kg without necessarily being overweight. You can't determine that just by those measurements alone.

        • -2

@Ronnnie: Actually that isn't true. The clinical definition of overweight/obese is calculated using height and weight and nothing else. Doesn't matter if you are 67kg, 150 cm and only 5% body fat (you are muscular and lean) you are still classified as overweight.

    • +1

What's wrong with free chips/drink with whopper they run with the survey?

  • -1

    Is phone fine?

    • +1

From where I'm standing everything looks just fine to me ;)

    • +1

Just looks like the camera was a little too close to your face when you took the picture

      :)

  • Anyone tried this on your phone?

    • phone is fine

  • +14

Do you have to print these out on paper or is there some electronic means of presenting them at the point of redemption?

    • +1

Print it out A4 size and carry with you.

      • +3

Just one voucher on A4 or all together is fine?

        • +5

B4 is recommended but A3 is fine

        • +1

@ireadtermsofuse: hmm this is starting to sound expensive, I hear these exotic paper sizes can be costly. I will have to do a cost benefit analysis

        • +6

That's just impractical and silly, A4 is far too large. I prefer to print the entire sheet on a postage stamp, and carry a magnifying glass for easy convenience. Just keep it in the glovebox!

        • @addison8019: car boot is fine

    • +14

You can present them via interpretive dance.

      • +5

Is there an example on YouTube for guidance on this dance? I would like to know the 2 bacon deluxe dance. Thank you in advance

        • +1

Sorry, I only know veg whopper dance.

    • -1

An edit to "Phone is fine" has just been made just for you.

    • -5

      Phone is fine, buddy…

      • -1

There is a penalty for using the phone? Is this because drive thru?

      • +1

        How about tablets?

      • +2

        who you calling buddy, pal

    • +6

      Instructions unclear

      Ate phone instead

    • Just show them the picture of the voucher you want to use on your phone.

  • +8

Another $0.5 increase on Bacon Deluxe and Whopper.

    • They use flying pigs

    • +1

Another 20c increase on the breakkie deal.

      • +7

Prices go up, wages continue going backwards as they fail to keep up with inflation let alone actually increase - thanks to the Liberal and Labour parties.

        • +13

The problem with Hungry Jacks vouchers is that the price creeps up, and the quality goes down. New vouchers used to be exciting in my household. Not so much anymore.

        • +2

          @Spooked: agree 100%

        • "Labour" parties

          UK = Labour Party…
Australia = Australian 'Labor' Party (ALP)

Just thought I would join the discussion and add my two cents worth :)

Not at all hungry despite the discussion about junk food ;)

By the way is the Hungry Jack's app still totally useless? I gave up on it a couple of years back…

        • @Spooked:

It's the quality going down that really bothers me. Their burgers are so salty and oily now that I feel queazy every time I eat there, so I don't if I can help it.

  • -4

    Phone is fine?

    • +10

No… they just buy for decorating their house.

    • -6

You can Neg me all you like but it aint going to improve the Crap HJs sell hahaha

    • +1

      Technically yes

    • About the only thing I want nowadays is the Grilled Chicken Burger but they took it off these discount sheets years ago.

  • +8

Used to love tender crisp now i can't stand it, that so called "chicken" inside used to really be something made out of chicken, now it's absolutely dreadful, like you're eating a sponge, so fake and processed. Like from chicken testicles, not crispy at all on the outside as it used to be.

    • +4

Pretty sure chickens don't have testicles.

      • +5

        Just roosters

      • +1

        They must mean chicken cloacas.

        • +2

Let me understand, you got the hen, the chicken and the rooster. The rooster goes with the chicken. So, who's having sex with the hen?

    • +2

Chicken entrails, beaks, feet are all 100% chicken. With huge amount of salt blended in pink slime tastes soo good.

      • +1

Oh stop it! … You're making me salivate and I just had breakfast :0

    • happened to the mc chicken as well. i dont expect a lot from fast food obviously but it was thoroughly disappointing.

      • True.

The mcchicken in the 90s was so much better

        • +2

The original McChicken is now only $1 deal menu in the US, sadly not available in AUS.
Makes a good way to have something on the cheap, and it tasted ok.

Also the cups of soda were $1, regardless of size… Wish they would do that here.

        • +1

          @mikeyaus74:

My local Maccas near LAX still does the $1 Filet-o-Fish Fridays randomly, something I look forward to when there.

During lent it's $1.59USD national, they did 2 for 1 this year.

As for drinks, unlimited refills, they have the machines out in open, they just give you an empty cup when ordering, like In-n-Out etc, sure makes waiting less painful as you fill your cup to what ever you want.

We will never see In-n-Out in AU due to the company structure. All stores are company owned, must within a distribution center distance as nothing is frozen. Still love watching the staff make the fries fresh through the pull down fry maker from a whole spud.

In-n-Out also pays above US standards.

Yet to try it but this looks interesting for Chicken - https://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en-us/product/garlic-white-ched…

        • Haha, yeah I saw that while at In N Out in Vacaville, it was amazing.

Yes unlimited soda is great, but I don't know why we have to pay so much for a large cup here in Oz.

I could have come past and said Hi, I walked down to Carl's Jr from LAX for 1 last American burger before coming back home

        • @mikeyaus74:

does anyone know why hj stopped there free soft drink refills?

        • @Triton:

Since no one else does it, they didn't need to offer it.

They split from Burger King, so they can basically do what they want now.

In the US because it's offered at so many places, they need to compete with other Fast Food outlets.

Given you have so many choices within 500m, or even right to each other. Competition has forced them to offer the same.

Other factor's like HJ North Richmond (Melbourne) might come into play, so many Meth heads would just abuse the system. They fight to just get into the toilets, often told closed to cleaning when they are not.

They are Happy to see me there cleaned dressed/polite and looking for a meal.

Given the low cost of US Maccas meals, many a time I've bought an extra (separate bag) and handed it to some random homeless person on the way back to Hotel. USA does not have lifetime Centerlink payments.

        • @mikeyaus74:

There is a great In-n-Out near LAX right next to the runway, you get to see the planes just before touchdown.

I tend to go into Inglewood, not as close but still good viewing of the planes.

Just don't wear a Red/Blue shirt and you are fine. Never been an issue over the last 10 years.

        • @Tom2222:

Ah yes the In N Out with a great view of the north runway. Yes its spectacular seeing a big bird fly in something like every 60 - 90 seconds.

I'll remember to wear neutral colors next time

    • +2

If you want chicken, KFC is the place to go. Or Red Rooster. Better get to Red Rooster before they close down. https://www.smartcompany.com.au/business-advice/franchising/…

  • -1

Was just searching Google for a deal on HJs.

  • -3

Phone is fine = Simply present these on your phone screen (no need to print out)

Not all stores will accept this

    • -2

Not all stores will accept this

      FTFY.

      • +10

        My store accepts verbal vouchers.

        • +1

Every store I've gone to in the past, in-store (stand alone, petrol station or mall), or drive though, you just mention the deal & they know it. No need to show them anything.

        • +1

          @Spooked:

Same here. Just go to the drive thru and say you have a voucher for it, come up to the window and pay and act like there was no voucher mentioned. Majority of the workers don’t really care unless they’re new on the job or the manager.,

        • +2

          @roundnumbersonly:

I don't even say I have a voucher. I just say, can I have the 2 x blah blah deal for $x, they say sure. It's in the till, they just ring it up. As long as you know the deal, they'll press the button. :)

        • @Spooked:

That's what I do too, basically they look for the button that has your deal and price, one they find it and press it, you're all sweet.

    • ?

  • -2

    Fine is phone yeah?

  • Dollar increase on most offers.

  • -2

    My phone is fine

  • +4

These "deals" are getting dearer each time

  • +2

HJ North Lakes no longer accept just showing your phone. I've been told twice now that 'we can't accept that any more…' 'it's actually in the terms and conditions…' 'needs to be printed…' etc etc.

    • +1

Brisbane stores I've been to dont even look at the vouchers when ordering via the drive thru.

      • +2

Yep, same! Until about two weeks ago at North Lakes :(

        • +6

Probs new management being a dumass.

Just don't buy anything, let them lose sales.

        • +2

Had the same thing at North Lakes, they said they cant take them through drive through.

Went inside and they basically glared at me.

          Wont be going back.

        • @ozturtle:

Why are they doing that now? Don't they want business?

        • @Spooked:

Maybe it's a franchised store and the owner is a moron?

  • -2

Will this work on a S8+?

    • Phone may not be fine in this instance. Being a Samsung product, phone may explode.
