  • This is the normal price, though could be the last chance to buy.

  • damn it, got one at 200$ from SCA two weeks ago…

    • +1

Get one from Bunnings and return on SCA receipt…

      • +2

Won't work - Bunnings make the accessories in the package different - it's part of their "offer a lowest price guarantee that nobody can actually use" strategy

  • Yeah good price. Paid close to $300 a few years back.

  • When the comparable one from also is more expensive

  • +2

Picked up one from Parafield store this morning, they had about twenty in stock.

I've been waiting for a promotion deal for a mid range Gerni since last October. Bunnings seem to have the 120.5 PC kit out for $149 about once a year (maybe this one too) and I missed the last one, this kit is an even better deal at $149.

  • Not clued up on the world of the pressure washer. How do these differ from the $99 ones or indeed the $299 I saw recently at Aldi.

    • Different PSI, included accessories etc.

    • +1

Better internals, pretty sure the cheapos use plastics that die.

      • Yeah that too! These use a metal pump, others use plastic.

  • What's this used for, other than cleaning concrete?

    • +2

Cleaning decks, cleaning car, spraying the wife, cleaning downpipes are some of the other things I use mine for

      • Can you safely use this for cleaning a car ? Wouldn't the high pressure seriously damage the paint ?

      • ^ would like to know this too!

        • You can buy a specific car nozzle as an attachment that is perfect for paint - I use it all the time with no issue.

        • @XabiFernando: thanks, it looks like it comes with it!

  • Quick question, what makes this 1500W/1810PSI cleaner a better deal than the ryobi 1800W/2000PSI for $30 less? Accessories?
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-1800w-2000psi-pressure-was…

    • Quality I guess. Gerni specialise in pressure washers, Ryobi don’t.

    • +1

Quality as well as range of accessories + compatibility with aftermarket attachments. Not sure what kind of nozzle the Ryobi uses but snow lances for example always offer Gerni compatible attachments.

Two VERY! important things to have in mind when choosing a pressure washer and all of the manufacturers are lying about is the PSI and Water Flow, i actually think the ACCC should be alerted do something about it as it is completely misleading people.
All manufacturers give you MAX PSI and MAX water flow, but what does this mean?
It means that the parts can withstand up to the MAX which they have specified, but what is the actual operating value?
Well, Ryobi indicate this in the manual that comes with the product or you can have a look at their website.
So lets take the Ryobi 2400w 2500PSI. Is the water pressure that comes out from the nozzle 2500 PSI? Nope, the pressure is 1900 PSI. That is 25% lower than advertised. Have a look at their other models Ryobi 2000w 2200PSI. Operational PSI is 1600, again 600PSI lower. Max water flow 7.2l per minute, operational 6.67l.
Well at least RYOBI specify this in the last page of the manual while GERNI and KARCHER do not provide any of this information except for the MAX values.
Another positive point for RYOBI is that they offer 4 years of replacement warranty where GERNI offers 2 years of repair warranty.
Hopefully it now makes sense when people buy an ALDI pressure washer to find out that the old $59 pressure washer they have cleans better.
Manufacturers can advertise the product at MAX 4000PSI 20 l/m but the actual operating PSI might be 1000PSI and water flow 10 l/m

  • I had one of these. Avoid at all cost is my advice. Cheap flimsy plastic crap that degrades within the first 5 uses. Hose connector plastic cracked and chipped on mine. Motor sounds like it would last maybe a few months. Hose is weak as is the pressure.

This really is a case of you get what you pay for. For pressure washes it is much better to spend a bit of coin and go for quality like Stihl.

    • I just got one thinking it is good and the Bunnings dudes were saying they last for many years (10 years in his personal case).

Sad face now if it is really as bad as you say it is

      • I've got a Gerni (not this particular one) and it's been a year with a fair bit of use, still going strong. Guess you'll get a dud in everything.

  • How does the soap thing work with this - can I use any liquid soap? Or any recommendations? Thanks in advance

    • Do not use household soaps/ detergents on cars. Use only products designed for the job. Check with your local car parts store.

  • Picked up 1 in Kalamunda Bunnings, 3 left there and other WA stores seem flush with stock
Also they had the Wheel Rim brush add on from $20 down to $2 on clearance so grabbed one also.

Anyone know if an adaptor for Karcher accessories exist?

    • Going to use the patio attachment on Wednesday for some tyre marks from a dingo, I'll let you know how it goes if anyone is interested

    • Could you please link the wheel rim brush? Can't find it.

  • Anyone know how to properly fit the hose on the hose reel?

    • Was just trying to work it out myself? Is it maybe just for after you finish, you detach from handle and reel in?

Also can't figure if the spray bottle attaches to anything else?

That manual is a good exercise in cartoon interpretation!

    • It’s a bit of a pain, on my Gerni there’s a little plastic flap that you put the end of the hose into and reel it on.
It can’t be used while the hose is on the reel, it’s only there for storage.

      • yeah it is just a storage reel after google search of a better instruction book
        returned it to bunnings

  • New Deal for the 130.3PC version, Bunnings RRP $299 down to $199

  • Cant decide this titan model or the other listed at 199.
Guy at bunnings tells me the model between the 299 to now 199 machine and cheapest one is the model in between was recalled and until gerni take out the new model this will be priced at 199.
Its not bunnings but gerni who dropped price..
I believe once the in between model comes out the 199 model will go back up in price.

The titan model listed here was a promo and i can still get it and is 50 less than other but is it worth me paying extra 50.
The promo model i believe has extras the 199 model does not have but lower spec machine.

There was a 349 machine same spec as 199 machine which had bigger patio cleaner and i think drain house but everything else same.
Just cant decide i know 349 is out question.
