I wonder what Bunnings will reply with?

  • I need a pressure washer. What are people's thoughts on this

Pretty sure this is the one I have. Happy with it as I bought an adapter from Aliexpress to use standard quick fit connectors. Using it with a cheap Aliexpress foam cannon and it works perfectly. Long hose is good but it's hard pvc plastic so annoying if you don't unwind it completely at the start to ensure you can walk around the car without it curling up and kinking.

Can you link to the adapter and foam cannon please? I have a bowdens foam cannon but can't find an adapter for the Ferrex, which I also own. TheFerrex has been pretty good, but would be better with a foam cannon.

        • Sorry couldn't find the link. Note not all Ferrex are the same connector. I had a different Aldi pressure washer that broke and from memory it had a different connector.

        • The adapter to use for the Bowden's Snow Cannon in order to use it on this machine: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/bowdens-own-bocannon-ada… . Similar to @0 0 0's response, I used to have older and smaller Aldi pressure washer that used a different adapter but yeah.

Got to love Germans and their metric-ness, but for convenience, 10.2MPa = 1480psi
The $99 Ozito 1800W is rated at 2030psi

    • +5

The devil is in the details. The working pressure of Ozito $99 model is rated at 10.0 MPa (1450psi).
See 'Technical Details' section in this link: https://www.ozito.com.au/p/3000778-hpw-2030/

I haven't compared other details like delivery rate etc.

Also worth noting psi is only one part of the equation and often the lpm has a greater effect on cleaning effectiveness (without causing damage).

These cheap units typically have a very low lpm value.

      • So the aldi one is better then? I assume has better working pressure

    • i heard somewhere these pressure washers only advertise their 'peak' output. sometimes they can spike to 1800psi but their standard working pressure is much much lower than that. but they advertise the peak value which most people will never really get a chance to utilise whilse actually cleaning something.

    • Exactly creative accounting .

Good unit but has following issues:
-lance too short for patio cleaner
-cord kinks, dont keep it wound up
    -no trigger "on" lock

    • Any good other alternatives for price?

    • -lance too short

It's not the length, it's how you use it. Or so I'm told.

      -cord kinks

Don't judge others' lifestyle choices ;)

      • As a black guy. I promise you, it’s not length, it’s girth….and how you use it… ofcourse.

  • Can you use these on bathroom tiles or would that fire truck the grout?

    • +1

If you had a floor waste gully, could dam the door and use a short lance with a wide spray pattern. So long as your grout is in good nick, I wouldn't see why you couldn't.

Might flood the bathroom. Housing build quality is shit these days and especially waterproofing.

Cordless drill, brush attachment & Aldi Di-San stain spray will work wonders.

I used this on my Alfresco tiles and unfortunately the grout was removed, however on my balcony grout remains. Only difference is thickness of gap between tiles. Smaller gap seems to not hold the grout as tight. Less than 1.5mm I would not recommend using this machine on tiles if you want the grout intact. Of course you can use a wide spray but less effective on cleaning.

      • I deliberately used it to jet out all the dirt between brick pavers

  • They are 8l per min / min 5 lpm

  • Had the ALDI WORKZONE for well over 6 years. Treat it like shit. Hasn't missed a beat. Lives outside in the weather as well.
