Newish technology, its massive, a QLED, which makes it more expensive and its 4k. Doesn't excuse it, but thats some of the reasoning.

It’s 65 inch. No one pays that.
In this sort of case, when they put "Worth", especially on a high-end model, it means the manufacturers recommended retail price (RRP) and in the case of TV's, it is rarely seen as the listed price in the shops. Only when the TV maker introduces a big upgrade on its top of the range model and when this first hits the shelves, but only lasts for a short period then drops sharply. Example - I have seen a Q9 version of this TV being sold for under $4500 at Harvey Norman.
My last TV (a 60" LG 2K top of the range which combined with my gaming PC and morphed into a transformer earlier this year and walked out the door - otherwise known as stolen) was listed at almost $4000, yet it was possible to buy one for about $1500 if you waited a few months - in my case about 5 to 6 months.
$5300? Who are they trying to kid?
