Samsung 256GB Evo Plus Micro SD Card SDXC UHS-I 100MB/s TF Memory Card.

eBay listing title says Evo+ where as display images say EVO plus, bit confusing.
I compared the MPN: MB-MC256GA from the listing description to the Samsung website and it matches the Evo Plus.
Plus versus +
Aren’t they the same thing?
Are thes better?
Evo+ is actually an older model and has lower minimum write speeds. They are orange in colour (but so are evo)
Evo plus is newer (but there are also multiple versions of evo plus…pre 2017 and post 2017). However some are still branded evo +. It is very confusing.
However I think there is only version of the 256gb is U3, and the branding doesn't matter as much.
Thanks for the details. Very confusing.
Thanks OP - ordered one (to try in D-SLR and DJI drone)
Serious question - I have a MacBook Air with the standard 128Gb drive, and a 'plug' for the memory card slot which accepts MicroSD cards. Would this deal be acceptable as storage for photos, movies and general crap in the plug? The biggest pain with slower cards is transfer speeds which become a bit onerous if the files are large.
the issue may not be the speed of the microsd card more being bottlenecked by the adaptor plug for the memory card slot.
found this speed test for a BaseQi adaptor (plug design like the one you mentioned), looks like it's capable of read/write speeds of 70.4/88mb/s respectively with the 256GB Samsung Evo card.
Thanks OP ordered one for my switch.
Mine arrived today and I tested it (with sdspeed tool which tests writing/reading across the entire card) using the included MicroSD to SD adapter a very fast external USB-C SD card reader and a very nice average write speed of 77MB (NB: the less comprehensive Blackmagic Disk Speed Test software tests it at a 84MB write and 93MB read). This is the same write speed I got with my Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB SD card.
My (piece of crap) Toshiba 128GB Exceria M302 microSD (which is also listed as a UHS-I U3 card like the above two) tested at 25MB write and 28MB read on the same setup.
Those are good speeds indeed. Did they send you the Samsung EVO Plus? or Samsung EVO +? Cheers.
It says the EVO Plus (which I believe is the newer better one)
Great thanks.
Great price
