The Promotion is available when you book a participating hotel with a "Promotion Eligible" banner at www.agoda.com/amexau and pay with an American Express Card.
The Promotion discount is applicable to hotel room charges only (excluding local taxes, service fees and any additional charges) and must be prepaid (‘Pay Now’) on Agoda. Pay at hotel bookings are excluded.
Bookings must be made between 15 June 2018 and 30 September 2018 for stays from 15 June 2018 to 30 April 2019.
Bookings must be made on desktop version of the website only to be eligible for the promotion. Bookings made on Agoda App are not eligible for the Promotion.

  As always, check the rate of your intended booking against other sites to make sure you’re better off under any such offers. The last time I checked, the room rate was about 8% above the same room offered in another Agoda site (instead of via the promotion link) and then obviously I would miss out on the cashrewards rebate. So no deal for me on that occasion but I would not generalise my experience. I did read other reports that they landed a better deal. Just remind fellow ozbargainers to take nothing for granted.

    I have been using this AMEX sale for sometime to scout for hotels, and just veried it again, using different browsers
    In all cases the AGODA.com price is the same ( the promo discount is applied at checkout), they are not inflating the price to offset the discount.

    eg Kirketon Hotel, Darlinghurst 27-30 June, is $101 usiing both the AMEX referrall link, and the normal agoda website. In fact Agoda is the lowest price anywhere on the planet for this hotel, plus, AMex is giving another 10%, Noice one Bill.

  I registered and booked before and somehow if I don't login, the rates were cheaper, once logged in, it became more expensive. Don't know what tactics they were using, anyway cancelled the order and went to somewhere else.

    Yeah same thing occurred to me. I'm calling this deal out. Everytime I've looked it's been cheaper to book with other mobs.

  Almost always cheaper to book directly with the hotel (and easier to cancel).

  Make sure to pay directly with your CC (don't go through Paypal…) Even better if you have the offer saved to your AMEX.
