Giant Steps Chardonnay 6 Bottles $118 ($11.33 Per Bottle Effective Cost after 5000 Qantas Points) @ Qantas Epiqure

60

Hey guys so I'm reposting this deal as apparently I broke a few rules with the last post XD.

Too good a deal to miss though - if you've received the recent Qantas Wine $50 voucher you can get the Giant Steps 2016 Yarra Valley Chardonnay for an effective $11.33 per bottle (RRP $35).

Just search for it on the Qantas Epiqure / Wine website, enter your voucher code to bring it down to $118. Then with the bonus 5000 Qant as points (worth $50) you basically get 6 bottles for $68!

Just to be clear I'm not related to Qantas Wine and get no kickbacks or incentives from this deal. Just sharing like a good OzBargainer ;)

Hope this helps someone - I already bought mine today :D

  • Already done this exact deal. Btw giant steps barrel haul sale is on this weekend.

  • Where do you get the $50 wine voucher from>?

    • Targeted. Got an email giving individual codes.

  • the outlay will be still $118 in cash though

    • Yeah absolutely. That's why I put effective cost - I have plenty of Qantas points just from buying wine so if I do sell them (easily on the forums), I can realise that as a cash value. Also I probably will use them for things like business class flights or upgrades which would end up being better than 1c per point value.

      • quantas wines are overpriced in general, getting points doesnt help!

        • The giant steps Chardonnay isn’t. $35 at the winery, maybe $30 elsewhere If you can find it. $20 a bottle is good. Find me a link that has it cheaper and Ill in my case the points will go to my trip to Europe next year.

        • Hey Jamesx. If you like wine or spirits and don't mind points instead of actual cash off then once in a while they do have good deals.

Examples of deals I've personally purchased:
Voyager Estate Cab Sauv Merlot for $35 per bottle (2010, 2011, 2012)
Credaro 1000 Crowns 2015 Chardonnay for ~36 per bottle.
d'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2014 for ~$45 per bottle. (Gift boxed very nicely too)

Also recently an expensive 1L Chivas Regal Ultis whiskey for about half price at $150 but I missed out after being indecisive (not a whiskey drinker but would have been a very nice gift for someone)

Of course all these prices are with points and based on 1c per point valuation.

    CASE OF 6 !!!!!

    • Thanks I think someone helped to edit my title and put the wrong number in.

  • OP, your title says 12 bottles for $118.
You may want to check your calculations.
    6 bottles cost $168.
Using $50 voucher you will pay $118 for 6 and not 12 bottles.
Yes, you will get bonus 5000 FF.

However, if you want to buy 12 bottles you will have to pay another $168.

    • I think someone helped to edit my title but put the wrong number of bottles in. Fixed now!
