yours?
not sure but very tempted
hopefully they don't have smelly ears though, that would put me right off them.
How does this compare to HD650 or HD660s which are around same price?
everyone got different sound preferences, hard to say good or bad but this one is definitely harder to drive then HD650 or HD660s.
Do I really need an AMP/DAC to run these on a modern PC?
I'd mainly use these for gaming for their sound stage and general PC use.
That's a bit like using a Ferrari to deliver newspapers.
yes u do need an AMP/DAC for this,
when u talking about sound stage, hd598 is much better then this.
Depends on your sound card. Some can handle 300 ohm, some can handle even 600 ohm.
If you're using on board audio, I wouldn't recommend these.
This deal also looks good for the KEF Q900:
https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/collections/eofy-sale/product…
Or you can buy it hardly used https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/sennheiser-headphones-HD700/2230… with make offer option and possible 10% or 5% off.
Say you offer $500 inc postage, they accept and you have the 10% off deal making it $450 with $5 cash rewards dropping it down to $445.
Winning.
