    • +1

      • +5

        Probably some recycling thing?

    • +1

      what rebate?

  • +7

Woolies the same price this week if you don't want to want for delivery.

    Mount Franklin Spring Water 20x500ml

    • Got for 5 dollars from woolie Gold Coast

      • They’re $5 at Woolworths in Tasmania too. (Woolworths employee)

  • +19

Certainly a good price ….. But bottled water delivered? really?! It's certainly one way to maximise your carbon footprint.

Edit: My page says someone who bought the water also bought this, seriously. : https://www.amazon.com.au/Stretcher-Scrotal-Scrotum-Bondage-…

    • Geez, you would need a drink after that torture, or freeze the bottles for an ice pack

    • +2

It's certainly one way to maximise your carbon footprint.

Almost as much as having a hamburger.

      (google it)

    • I was the one who bought that. I'm trying to get my ball sack large enough that I can use it as a parachute if need be

      • Bee sting can do the same job and in quicker time as well.

      • Wesley Warren Jr might have a deal for you.

  • +7

    Don’t waste plastic.

Wierd thing to write on a post about one time use containers that hold water. It's like you think it's not wasteful to use one time use containers to drink water out of. Or shipping water around in one time use containers is not wasteful.

I bet your full of good tips for others abut the environment!

    • +5

Also don't forget to throw the bottle by the side of the road or into a stream where it can biodegrade.

    • +2

If you’ve never bought a bottle of water I applaud you.

It’s more reasonable to be a consumer and try to minimise use.

      • +6

I haven't bought a bottle of water in probably 5 years. It's really, really not hard to avoid. I can't believe I see people buying cases of bottled water.

Almost everyone in this wonderful country has access to some of the BEST drinking water in the world at fantastic prices, and lovely aluminium or glass bottles to use for years and years. Buying bottled water is one of the easiest things to eliminate from your life.

        • -1

Unless you live rural… and your water isn't drinkable.
Some third world countries have cleaner water than I do.

        • -1

@Belistic: this isn’t true. Thanks for trying.

        • -1

More sanctimonious talk…. That's fine for you but about people who don't work in a single location all day where they do the same thing but work in different places, travel, spend days away from home and so forth?

It might be for you but I bet you do all sorts of things that other people do not yet are the lecturing you based on their own experience? That good that you don't use them but that doesn't mean that everyone can do what you do.

        • @Bellpop: lol, you don't get out much, do you…

    • +2

      one time use containers

That's up to you, I refill them.

      • Sounds like you should buy a nice reusable bottle, you can refill that ad infinitum without wasting any plastic.

        • I have one :)

But if I do end up with a plastic bottle I'll still refill that

        • @spaceflight:

          Glad to hear it :)

      • You're
      • -4

“you’re” instead of “You’re” due to the word being used mid sentence.

      • Who really gives 2 hoots about grammar in a comments section. We are not being graded or communicating in a work capacity.

Is it self gratification that folks seek? "I corrected a stranger on the internet today! Hurrr Durr"

  • +4

drinks the water 50 Years later

    Yep, it’s still water

    • +7

It's actually $5 not 5$. Also everyone should care about excessive use of plastics as it is our responsibility, the reason why they make it is because people use it excessively and don't change their habits.

      • +3

Also everyone should care about excessive use of plastics as it is our responsibility, the reason why they make it is because people use it excessively and don't change their habits.

The government is doing the most harm that far outweighs what we can through rapid growth of our cities with no thought about transportation, housing or any form of planning. Perfectly good homes and buildings kept getting torn down for higher density poor quality housing, our suburbs are being destroyed, our roads are gridlocked and our way of life is slowly but surely turning to shit.

Having said that I still do think about my waste and footprint but I did purchase five of these and they will be delivered from a local depot. To offset the environmental cost I refill them 10-25 times where possible.

        • Agree 100%, cultural marxism stops people from addressing the issues at the core where they can be fixed (or your 'racist').

        • Okay so why the heck did you buy 5 of these?

        • @jrowls:

Okay so why the heck did you buy 5 of these?

Because I will use that amount in six months.

  • +5

If you use the tap you can get the same amount of water for about 1 cent, provided you BYO bottle. No wasted plastic!

  • +9

This is a very good price, some people think water rains down from the sky.

    • +1

I'm sick of these doughnuts falling from the sky

    • +1

because as they say, "Apples don't grow on trees".

  • +3

And this is why we are doomed! A 'bargain' that comes with a massive cost.

    • So many braindeads on this planet. That's why humans will be dead in a centuary or two. Deservedly so!

  • -4

Bottled water is the best. Convenience comes first to me in this case.

    • +9

Filling up a bottle from the tap is not convenient?

You need to buy bottled water, store it, and then throw out the bottles.

      • -3

No, it takes time to fill 20 bottles. Bottled water also tastes better when cold.

Correct, that's generally the process for acquiring bottled water.

        • But no fluoride

        • +2

          @cloudie9:

Yeah they put in the water to control the masses and make our frogs gay!

          I joke I joke

      • If you drink a bottle in the car you will have to pee sooner or later, isn't it inconvenient to then stop and go to the toilet….oh I understand you can refill the empty bottle.

        • Mirrors: ignorant and proud of it!

  • +1

I maximise my carbon footprint by buying pristine iceberg water - air freighted from the Artic.

  • $5 @ woolies

  • +2

We're meant to downvote because of the plastic bottles right?

    • Getting something like this delivered to your door is ridiculous. Just adds an immense amount to your carbon footprint.

      • -3

        Yet you upvote Broden?

        • -1

I saw a bargain and compulsively upvoted, but after reading a few comments it made me realise it isn't that great.

      • +1

It's already AT your (profanity) house, it doesn't need to be delivered! Infinite litres of the stuff is on demand at your house!

        • I've heard that some people even have it on tap.

    • +1

Don't worry, sense is always downvoted at ozbargain.

      • -1

Oh I know, I'm not too disheartened.

  • +1

Tasty water? It's (profanity) wader mut

  • -8

Pity some have to wait for a deal to drink water in 2018. Smh.

  • I buy bottled water because of the convenience factor of “grab and go”, plus also because I can 🤗. I do my part by putting it into the recycle bin after use.

I keep the economy moving, supply and demand. Keep in mind that water isn’t unlimited. Happy to pay for good quality water clean water. Wait till you try reverse osmosis water! Mmmmm.

    • -1

Just throw the PET in the trash, the recycling is just for show, China is not accepting our PETs anymore and we don't have any processing plants for them so just shut up your good feelings.

      • +1

Not sure why you've been downvoted, I believe that may be true!

      • Oh my. Ain’t you grumpy? Not getting any love? Heh. Hook. Line. Sinker.

  • Is there any danger when reusing these plastic bottles? I know for some of them it's not recommended but I don't know how to tell.

    • Google and it tells you the bottle markings

    • No there's not.
Adding water back to the bottle doesn't do anything that creates health issues.

  • +1

Before the 90's water wasn't sold, the whole stupidity started in califorina when celebrities started drinking bottled water in womens magazines.

  • Are there health hazards by keeping plastic bottles water in the car, under the sun, hit temperature?

    • Yes i'd say so. Can't be bothered finding the sources rn but will later if you want.

  • +3

This is ridiculous - a large, bulky 12kg package delivered to my doorstep with what could be considered a scarce commodity in certain parts of the world for 6 dollars?

    • -2

This is ridiculous - a large, bulky 12kg package delivered to my doorstep with what could be considered a scarce commodity in certain parts of the world for 6 dollars?

Maybe those other countries should limit their population to a sustainable level like we have done here in Australia… Oh wait…. Enjoy it whilst it lasts!

  • Max 5 per customer. Won’t let you buy more in a seperate transaction.

  • -1

Oh and those criticising those buying bottled water, STFU.

  • seen this cheaper in Woolies so probably comes from China

  • +1

    says it dispatches/ships in 1-2months 😬

    • Now saying dispatches in 4 to 7 days.
