That was a 6, this is a 6S!
That one was posted by a PhillipDi staff and it had useful information from all the discussions.
Given that we have no actual feedback on these yet, I am not sure whether it is worthwhile posting this. Furthermore, the staff indicated he/she will check stock level and might come up with some sort of deal for iPhone 6S later.

They were at $349.99 (while the iPhone 6 deal was on) so I'm assuming this is the deal.
Can purchase this item all day on eBay cheaper.
Like here? $298 posted from 'Sydney' for the 16GB. I don't see the deal?
"The item comes in a Generic Box with USB Cable, Screen Protector, Sim opening Tool, Wipe Cleaning Cloth"
All I can see are refurbished units listed as new, or phones listed as new missing accessories on the Ebay listings.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/APPLE-iPHONE-6S-16GB-64GB-128GB-…
"All Phones come with generic Box & generic accessories included (USB Charger + USB Cable + SIM PIN)."
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Apple-iPhone-6s-Grey-Silver-…
"The item comes in a Generic Box with a Generic Australia Standard Wall Charger/ Cable/ sim pin/ a Tempered Glass, also with Generic earphone"
Etc.
This is advertised as a Brand New original unit.
Here you go
Same thing - "The item comes in a Generic Box with USB Cable, Screen Protector, Sim opening Tool, Wipe Cleaning Cloth" No apple warranty. "Fully tested, fully functional and working" makes it definitely sound like a reco unit, second hand or a fake.
"If stocks are running low in Melbourne, the order will be shipped from our international office."
lol…I'm guessing stock is running low most/all of the time. :-0
"All shipping is free GLOBALLY All products are being send directly from China unless otherwise stated in the listing "
hmmm chance of being new less than zero, chance of receiving item questionable
no contact number no address
not Australian company
It's listed in the title "Regular AU Post" so it's being sent from Australia.
Jf I had $1 for every ebay shop who claims the item is in Oz, marked as posted shortly after buying, but still takes 2wkss to arrive. I'd be able to shop at DJs.
it appears these sellers send bulk orders to their local distributor who repacks & sends via AusPost.
Its a common scam.
Here's a Melbourne direct from the seller but it'll take 6-12 days to deliver. And I live in Melb. Pigsarse its in in Melb
https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Unlocked-Nokia-3310-Mobile…
[…] unless otherwise stated in the listing:
Brand new in the box sent from Melbourne
The product page shows; "Brand new in the box sent from Melbourne", so it should override the general info you've quoted.
Anything is possible though.
yep and the item I bought from ebay that was listed as coming from Darwin came from China
believe what you will but given no contact no ABN and no phone number I cant see this coming from Melbourne
may come if it comes will have a PO BOX in chullhora that is linked to China post
like the above

Like here?(ebay.com.au) $298 posted from 'Sydney' for the 16GB. I don't see the
sure it is posted from Sydney when ebay member is based in hong kong
The thing is, if you looked at the deal posted by the staff earlier today, that listing is not quite right either. You cannot tell which model you would get.
It wasn't until after another OBer and I started questioning whether Apple 1 year warranty still applies the staff then mentioned the model number to cover himself. And, based on the model number, we know you cannot get a replacement from Apple store on the spot (they might help by getting a replacement overseas).
My biggest concern is this though: the staff did not answer my original question: if I purchased the item and then checked the warranty on Apple Web site, if the warranty information from Apple showed warranty elapsed OR less than 1 year remaining, can I get a full refund by returning the product?
No I'm no longer registered in Australia I moved it overseas because that's where most of my business is.
But was registered here for about 6 years…

will buy from eBay
Apple stopped producing 16G 6s two years ago and you expect you can still find real brand new ones?!
Not sure why you linked to your ebay, that 96.7% feedback isn't that great lol.
Additional info (whatever it may be) is always good to know allowing people to form their own opinion.
opps thought rep posted this
Nah, I clicked on the earlier expired deal and through to their site where I noticed the 6s post. Given the 6s is a supported device I figured it a better buy than the 6 so posted the deal. Whether or not anyone buys one is of no consequence to me.
@xuqi: Nice
I don't know about you but if you sold 1000 things and in 967 transactions people bothered to leave positive feedback and you sustained an attack from newly created accounts on eBay buying low value items leaving negative feedback I'd say it's not bad.
Due to replying to a comment that was -ve voted, my reply is now hidden by default.
From the other deal posted by a PhillipDi staff, I asked the staff a few questions.
My biggest concern is this though: the staff did not answer my original question: if I purchased the item and then checked the warranty on Apple Web site, if the warranty information from Apple showed warranty elapsed OR less than 1 year remaining, can I get a full refund by returning the product?
We know the iPhone 6 model they sell is an overseas model so Apple Aus don't stock them (direct replacement type warranty from Apple Aus won't be possible; they will need to get a replacement from overseas). iPhone 6S has fewer models so it might not be as risky, but 16GB models are not being produced and someone pointed out (in the other deal posted) that all no longer available for official purchase models could/would have their warranty period calculation started from the date Apple stopped selling them, rather than the first activation time.
The OP in the other thread already answered your question there with regards to the iPhone 6 warranty (covered by OP, so no expectation of Apple support for that deal).
Apple hasn't announced an 'End of support' for the 6s. They are still repair & replacing them locally and covered the 6s under their current subsidized battery replacement program.
He indicated the warranty is covered by PhillipDi, but what exactly is that warranty?
Also, given that he has those items in stock, he can check the warranty status online and tell us.
I was just providing information available in the other post. Someone pointed out if Apple don't sell that particular type of model anymore, the warranty would start on the last day the model was available for purchase. That makes sense. How can you claim you purchase an iPhone 6/6S 16GB from an Apple store brand new today?
Who cares? that's an expired deal for an out of support device. Discussing it here for a device still covered by Apple is of no consequence.
@xuqi: He did write this:
Apple stopped covering this model a year or so back (even if its the Australian model) which is why we offer a 1 year warranty
His words, NOT MINE.
@xuqi: You have a look at his eBay listings yourself. Items he is listing on eBay as brand new:
DDR2 RAM
MSI B75M
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
AMD Phenom II X4
I am trying to find an iPhone listing from his on feeBay. You want to vouch for him. Go ahead.
@netsurfer: Couple of things, his warranty page actually states 2 years (different to the 1 year mentioned) and also they accept PayPal so you could do a case/charge back if it's not as described.
Edit: Warranty page: https://www.phillipdi.com/2017/11/29/warranty-policy-2-years…
@4892: Again, his EXACT comment from the other deal posted (unmodified):
You will have our 1 year warranty however :)
So, if that's wrong and it is actually 2 years, then great.
@netsurfer: Yeah I'm kinda agreeing with you but as others have pointed out, he said that in regards to the 6 not the 6S I believe. Regardless it contradicts his own site warranty terms.
@4892: I think it is best not to assume iPhone 6S warranty from them is 2 years (given it is only 1 year from iPhone 6).
Based on information from a friend of mine. His overseas contact can completely refurbish an iPhone and it looks brand new. I saw it myself and I initially thought he bought a new iPhone. His contact is honest though and that contact DOES NOT sell them as brand new. Unfortunately, iPhone 6S fall into this category. That type of items CANNOT be sold in Australia. He got his as a gift (completely free). I am sorry that I cannot get into more detail (as I already disclosed too much information).
So, if Apple warranty information CANNOT be used as an evidence that it is not brand new, I am really sorry that I am cynical about it (because of my experience).
Great, so 2 threads, and multiple posts throughout the day and now you finally tell us you're holding out on providing info that could be beneficial in members making an informed decision.
Sorry, but either be upfront about your intentions or quit wasting everyone's time making veiled accusations, based on something your friend bought from someone else.
@xuqi: See ash2000's comment (but that type of refurbishment is too basic). It's due to you guys being so stubborn, I thought I shed some light. I hammered the seller on using Apple warranty status as ground for full refund FIRST UP. What more do you want me to do? Basically, I asked FOR YOU GUYS, if you found out it is NOT really brand new (i.e. phone was activated previously), can you guys get a full refund? Or, that will need to go through PayPal or charge back?
You believe it is brand new 100%, that's all it matters.
@netsurfer: we were selling out phones on eBay and have recieved positive feedback for it in the past (I'll collate it) but the fee's are incredibly high and its not profitable to sell phones on there any more
Hi mate I covered this one, and attacking not just my own posts, but a post when someone else posts my deal on here?
Do you run a shop by any chance? Just wondering.
Fake ?
Maybe not fake, but well refurbished. ;)
Highly likely to be refurbished phones which originated from China (no one wants a 16gb phone, not even in China) then repackaged to look new. Check out this video….
Would people ultimately fall for these tricks though? Simply physically cleaning the device isn't enough.
A dodgy charger is easily identified (build quality, weight difference, missing correct serial # markings). Similarly 3rd party cables are a dime a dozen and quite inferior in appearance & feel.
Checking the serial # on the apple site back in 2016 (when video was created), used to show original activation date of the handset.
Mate, all I care about is whether he will offer a no question asked full refund (say within 7 days) if any of you have reason to believe it is not brand new.
Simply physically cleaning the device isn't enough
They remove the motherboard and drop it into a brand new aftermarket shell. Other videos demonstrating this.
Still, if you pay by PayPal there is really no risk, just the potential inconvenience of having to post it back.
I'd certainly avoid the bitcoin payment option though!
@ash2000: Indeed, a lot can be done. Honestly though, most people won't be able to tell.
Paypal with credit card is probably the best option. Double protection.
Well I'm going to ask you some questions sure, it can't just be a change of mind, we look at each case and work it out with the person, so far I have had only 1 return but you don't need to take my word, you have got paypal's buyer protection for 60 days so you don't need me for it.
Absolutely, cleaning it is one thing but a new phone is another. the build and the weight are important differences to originals, especially if the battery has been changed, it usually weighs less
you will know if it’s a new device when you turn it on and register it, if it’s new it will never have been registered and you add it to your apple account and you have 12 mths warranty from start date ….. if it’s refurbed it will have been registered to someone else’s apple account …..
You will know the age by iOS installed if latest iOS it’s a refurb
You can check battery health as well
all gone, that was fast.
The OP was suggesting he would do a bulk buy and get the price down on this model i thought…
That's right, I only had a few in stock and some people PM'ed me and I sold them too them.
That deal was not supposed to be accessible to the public but I made a mistake and it was
bio has purchased an iPhone 6 from this seller. It was not brand new nor sealed. Warranty details also looked bad.
For more info:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/6029715/redir
Other people complained about missing cable, dodgy charger, sim ejection tool packaging was opened (not new), labels in wrong places etc…
Please read through it and seller's response first before you buy any phone from this seller. I don't mind being negative voted heavily. I keep telling you guys to be cynical about this. His site has conflicting information, listings were poorly done (you cannot even tell which model you are going to get). eBay listings and seller's feedback AFTER customers have complained just look so fishy. Couldn't find a phone listing in his feeBay feedback.
What a surprise my comments above that were downvoted proved to be correct!
Hi mate so legit Bio is the ONLY person that has messaged me with an actual order number, and I'm resolving their issue now please feel free to ask them
Can you replace this refurbished phone's battery at an apply store for $40?
what do you mean there?
https://www.apple.com/au/iphone-battery-and-performance/
As long as the phone hasn't been physically modified (screen, parts replaced by 3rd party), then Apple should replace the battery for $39.
Well then in this case it would be. No most likely
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/382806?page=1#comment-6040…
Yep first hand experience of user reconditioned non genuine parts bad battery and Apple want $390 to repair
I will try it out today.
looks like good old Phil has forgotten how to respond to paid up customers email requests, i was one of a few email recipients who received our first update status since paying for iPhone 6s late on wednesday night. imagine the surprise of opening yesterday morning the first update email since payment confirmation subject:iPhone 6s Status - Order on Hold - Phil did offer the option of refund which i requested immediately. since the request there has been absolute silence and no refund - i researched his whois info for his website obtained a phone number which was answered by a very polite business advising it had nothing to do with the good old Phil ? i am updating this post not as a vendetta and i hope that he can lift his game and be a man of his word !
Same I requested for a refund on Saturday and I still haven't got it yet.
obviously we need to take some affirmative action
this
brings up some interesting results
i am now going to lodge Paypal dispute immediately
i find it sad that someone who portrays helping the less fortunate in society blatantly disregards the goodwill of the OzBargain community
best of luck to all and here we go
probably just selling stock from aliexpress eg https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-iPhone-6-Factory-Un…

you must be a prophet or some kind of crystal gazer to have predicted this all in advance ?
i guess i was doing the x-files thing - in that i wanted to believe ?
he certainly has picked the fastest way to destroy his reputation and maybe even get banned
i really have so many more productive things to do than chase after a loser / scammer : (
