  • I advise anyone who's interested to buy a home plug with wifi compatibility instead, much more stable signals.

I had two different wife range extenders in the past and never got consistent good signals. Have to reset very often for them to work.

    • I have my two extenders on different SSID and different wifi channels.

Never had an issue with speeds, I also disable the 5GHz channel for transmit and only have the 2.4GHz as the only frequency available and then use the 5GHz signal for transmit to base station. This is just to get up the stairs so the back room upstairs has full signal. Other extender is in the garage. Cheaper than the mesh networks.

    • Can you suggest one? Tia

      wife range extenders

      🤔 hmm !!

    • Can you provide a link to a home plug with wifi that you recommend?

      • Been using the latest model by tp link and it’s been great.

        • Thanks. Can you advise of the model number?

This may be a stoopid question, but I'm trying to find something to give me wifi in the bedroom (router currently in the lounge). I have power and phone point in the bedroom but will it be too far away for the range extender to 'talk' to the router modem in the lounge, since we can't get a wifi signal in the first place? Hopefully someone else has had this problem and used this product. Thanks in advance!

look for a powerline adapter with wifi.

As Avacardooo mentioned that would give you wifi in the boudoir. If you wanted a fixed network connection point you could run a powerline adapter kit such as this. The important thing is that the router plug in point is on the same electrical circuit as the bedroom.

  • As a 'range extender' they aren't great but they do work very well in AP mode, or if you are extending range you can plug your desktop etc directly into it and you get very good speeds.

$55 for a decent AP or wifi bridge is not bad.

  • not good one, i had this one before, and you need restart it every couple of days to keep it working.

    • I have one as well, but I never had to restart it. Its been running for 4 months now without a restart. Have you updated the firmware to the latest on the device?
I have this plugged in my garage acting as an AP and bridged to my ADSL wifi router, my solar inverter could not connect to the ADSL wifi router and so I bought this wifi extender which works perfectly for what it does.

  • What are the main differences between RE305 and RE350 (also on sale)? Thanks.

    • RE350 has 10/100/1000M Ethernet Port (RJ45) as compared to 10/100M Ethernet Port (RJ45) on RE305

    • I don't see the RE350 on sale on the EB games site. Do you have a link you could share?
