If you are interested in the $10 Belong plan, might as well get the $40 sim so basically you pay $5 p/mo for 4 months or get 2 months free if thats your thing.

Would kindly explain how this works?

Do you sign up with this sim on the $10 plan, and get $40 credit and does that then reduce by $10 per month?

Or is there some other things you need to do?

      • +3

When You going to activate your service you can choose your service. So if you choose 1 GB plan , your $30 will remain on your account for next months payment.

        • Thank you

        • Would the 15GB be added to your pool with the 1GB plan or discarded?

If you use a little more than 1GB a month (and care about speed) it would be worthwhile buying a couple of the $40 sims (for $20), activating them using PayPal as the funding method and at 15GB/$40/month, keeping one (bring over your mobile number and put it in as $10/1GB/month) and then gift the data using the other accounts. Send a request to cancel the others, once the data has gone through, and cancel the PayPal authorisations for them. You'll end up with lots of data in your bank so it won't matter if you go over each month (not that it would matter anyway, since you'll just get speed-limited for the rest of the month if you don't want to pay $10/2GB).

  • is there an expiry date for the starter pack?

    • +1

It will expire in 12 months after the date of purchase.

        Thanks got one today.

  • Hi May i ask if i can buy a few of these to be used as credit top up to my existing belong sim?

I already have an active line on a $10p/m plan and +$5 for international calls. Am i right to say that i can do the following

    1) purchase these half price credit
    2) transfer these credit to my existing account (eg $40 prepaid for $20)
    3) keep using my original belong sim account but with half price credit?

Hope i understand this correctly. If it is possible, i will be buying quite a few of these.

    Cheers!

    • You can activate them as new numbers and then gift the data over. I don't think you can credit them directly to your existing account.

      • Gotya. What about if i activate as new account but porting old number over. Effectively having the same number but new credit? wonder if anyone has tested this…. haha.

        Cheers!

        • Yeah you could try that, you would probably lose the contents of your data bank. Give it a try and report back.

        • Out of the topic question, do you able make unlimited calls to 36 countries by paying the additional $5? The ad on belong website was somehow different between on the CIS and on the support page.

        • I'm not sure if they will allow to port a number allay on the same carrier… You might have to port to another carrier first which increase your cost

  • Does anyone know if you could delay porting a number? I wanted to see first how the coverage is before I port my Telstra number over.

  • Any reason I couldn't activate 3 or 4 of these and gift data to myself? Is there a limit?

    • So I activated a couple of these and ported my number to one. Got 4 days free service and then on the renewal date, got an extra 15gb data. Gifted data from the second SIM to my ported SIM and cancelled the second SIM. Now have 60gb starting balance for 40 bucks and a 10/month deal. Was previously on Kogans 6gb 365 day prepay deal, but this beats that (approx 12/ month paid monthly, with rolling data balance Vs approx 19/month all upfront and monthly caps).
