I was tossing up whether to post this an hour ago. Was going to wait a bit closer to 9pm this evening. Good post OP.

  • GPU prices finally decreasing or nah

      Yah

From what I have seen yes but nowhere near of what they should be. Improvement is still an improvement though.

Next gen Nvidia cards will be released in a couple of months

        • +2

Nope, they are not gonna be released anytime before christmas. There is a worldwide ram shortage cause of collusion and Nvidia hasn't announced anything yet at all. This Pascal series is gonna last us all the way till Q4 2018

        • Volta?

        • @RandomDeviation: Any offical statement from Nvidia regarding this?

        • @RandomFox: Of course not. That's like Apple admitting they are not gonna release a new mac mini for another year.

It was discussed by Linus on his WAN show and also JayzTwoCents confirmed it.

    • Not really crashing, around this time last year you could bag a non-blower type for $650ish.

    • GPU mining is slowly dying so GPU price is slowly dropping.

Or just buy right now for $1 less with 20% off

  • How does this compare to sli 970s?

    • Don't bother.

    • SLI sucks waste of money

  • Waiting for the TI's to drop

  • Crap, came back at 9:33 and realised it was EST - I'm blaming nobody but myself, but it would have been nice if the title included the timezone for such a short deal.
