  • Is this better than the $89 Kmart one?

    • The short answer is No, you pay for what you get, I have the $89 Kmart vacuum, it is more powerful than the Dyson I have, however cleaning and emptying the cheap one is not on par with the Dyson. If I have not bought the Dyson upright vacuum, I would be more inclined to have a cordless vacuum and corded one for the house.

      • it is more powerful

        I think that means it uses more electricity.

        I own a Dyson V6 cordless and emptying it is pretty cumbersome. Just poor design and dirt gets stuck around the rim which pretty much requires the canister to be 'dismantled' every time vs just popping the bottom. For a premium product that's just poor design (fixed in V8 I believe). For a fraction of the cost I'm pretty sure the Kmart one isn't that far behind in the emptying dept :)

          Dyson's pricing is way too much, I really hope they go bankrupting in the future

          @Yaren24:

          If you don't like it don't buy it. Why would you wish a company go bankrupt? That's just stupid. It's like saying iphone is exp so let them go bankrupt.

          I’ve got one and you don’t need to dismantle it. Just keep a stick or butter knife handy to run it around the rim and push out he dirt and hair that gets caught

        • @flashi007:
          Rather dismantle than add a kitchen utensil to the process personally.

        • @gimme: me too but using a stick takes less than 5 seconds

  • Small Ball

    This would suit most people here.

  • According to current Dyson ad on tele they ain't making them anymore

    • +1

      Think they aren’t doing research and development into them anymore. They may still make them and they are still selling them

  • Read somewhere that they are going cordless…

  • I need to buy a vaccum. Entered the Pull5 code, which gives me $20 off to make it $379. How do you guys get it so low ?
