The Xiaomi Aqara Smart Door lock is back on sale again @ gearbest. It's not as cheap as the original deal, but definitely cheaper than it was the last time it was posted.
Unfortunately, only the OPEN ON THE RIGHT door handles are on sale for some reason.

It looks like it is possible to change the direction of the handle.

This one in black looks a bit nicer for same price, and has both left and right opening versions…..but left version is AUD$450….ouch!

How many fingerprints can it store? Lots of money to drop on a door lock that doesn't have an english instruction manual.
I'm not seeing any info on compatibility with Home Assistant, so it would have to be attached to a Xiaomi hub and any unlocking rules would have to be via the hub and its rules. Not sure I could get it working the way I want :\

nope, no support i home-assistant yet. But you can link it to MI home app to manage finger prints and passcodes. you can not lock/unlock from app. only way to lock/unlock is finger print/passcode/tag/key. Installing this also involves cutting and scalling. I got a good locksmith.
