  • I dont seem to get any of these. Am in SA. Probably dont shop at Coles a lot. Perhaps that is it.

    • You'd think that they would send these offers to people that don't shop a lot at Coles, to get them in store …
I do shop quite a bit at Coles, but hardly ever go to Coles Express, even then I get about 10% of the offers posted here …

This is targeted to people every week, I got the email the last 3 weeks in a row but not this week.
Do we really need a post about this weekly?

    • Valid point …
For the ones who got the e-mail, they'd already know about it.
For the rest, they don't need to know :P

Do we really need a post about this weekly?

      No…

  • I filled up yesterday with the last one of these. Now today they send out a new one.

    • Did you receive this email too?

      • Yep.

  • +2

I used to receive quite a few, but never used any, because another petrol station 300 meters away is 20 cents cheaper!

Didn't the ACCC just publish a report that claims people pay more with these offers compared to not using the offers?

    • They might have, but that would be a generalisation.

    • +1

Not sure about that but they found Coles are more expensive than others so 10 cents off might make them more competitive.

  • I got this email last week, not the previous two and not this week.
This week it states 150 points if purchase 30 litres or more at local shell express.

    Free Fuel !!!!!

    Definitely works !!!

I filled my car with 11 cents this afternoon. After Flybuys, it worked out to 1 cent, and got rounded down !!!
Mind you, I had to go up to the register 612 times before my car was FULL…

    • +2

Wow you got a litre for 11 cents!

    • What car do you have that can hold 612 litres?

  • +6

Since this offer started popping up this year, I found in my local area all the Coles Exp stations are consistently 10-14c/L more expensive than the local 7-Eleven and Woolworths, except for the few days at the start of the "price cycle" (i.e. everyone is charging 159.9c). Usually works out cheaper to just go to Woolworths and get 4c off, or price-lock at 7-Eleven.

  • Where we are on the GC Coles 10 cents plus 4 cents (coupon) off is sometimes amongst the best deals around. Of course with no participation in Motormouth and their refusal to disclose prices over the phone you have to actually sight a station to know whether it a deal or not .. :-( .. !! When is the totally incompetent state Labor Party government going to get it's act together and make petrol price disclosure mandatory??
