      Also was gonna grill the rep and compare these to cheaper nitecore/skill hunt headlamps but after researching this light is more advanced with better features, brighter and comes with a battery. Very good deal imo.

        Just be careful, reviews indicate that the H2R is extremely hot on turbo setting and has burnt a hole in a trouser pocket & through tent mesh. It can even start a fire (see youtube video for details). I would be hesitant to buy it with this issue. I have a couple of similar Skillhunts and they have been great.

          This is true. The turbo mode can ignite close objects. The H2R does however have a lock mode, and a double click is required for the turbo.

      Kinda…. Any 18650 can run the light, but only high drain 18650s can handle 2300 lumens. Also, only the included battery can charge in the H2R.

          No, but the 3500mAh HDC battery can. You would just need to charge externally.

    Just received the light. Doesn't seem to work. I left it to charge (I removed the yellow protective thingy) and when it went green I took it out and then tried to press the button on top. Nothing happens. Is there something else i need to remove?

    Also is there a cover for the bottom? It says do not short circuit otherwise it may cause an accident. But if the electrodes are exposed like that and say the torch touches a metal plate or something, isn't that going to short it?

      user error. Just had to screw the bugger in all the way. I was nervous when I started hearing the metal scraping and stopped turning. Used to those cheap chinese knockoffs :p.

    I received mine a few days ago and I'm very impressed at how insanely bright this thing goes. mobo - sounds like you may have a dud as once I removed the protective yellow tab mine worked straight away. It had a small amount of charge in it when it shipped.

    I like to buy another if they have one available with a focusable lens. Are there any models that do this?
