Be good if existing customers could take this offer as well. Good deal nonetheless.

    • Port to a Vodafone $2 sim then back, purely depends on if the jb hifi employee wants to be nice as they can see when you ported out

      • I ported to the Telstra $49 deal 6 months ago. I'll wait haha.

  • Was 799 yesterday, wife is about to buy a new phone. Considering this one. Is 9+ worth the extra money over 9?

It has a slightly better camera. I think it comes down to size preference though.

For me the decision was to go for the 64gb or 256? I opted for the 64 and just bought an SD card that was on sale.

  • OP please correct the total min cost as 1287 for S9 and 1437 for s9+

    S9= (4912)+699=1287
    S9+=(49
    12)+849=1437

I did the same calculation, and I agreed with you. But the total was copied from the bottom of the page in the link, so I am not sure if they made a mistake or there is some hidden $100 cost somewhere…..

      • I think they haven't updated the minimum cost for this deal. The email that i have received today shows the minimum cost of 1287 and 1437 for S9 and S9+ respectively.

Yeah I just realised that too. Thanks, updated the description.

Anyone who purchased in the week where they bumped up the price by an extra $100 will be slightly miffed.

I'm with Boost currently and wasn't eligible for this deal last time. Can I port out to another carrier and then port back in ?

I've read that there are issues with the Samsung S9 International version regarding performance, in some tests it performs at slower speeds than the S8. Glowing reviews on the web, maybe of the US version that uses a different chip or they haven't done a thorough test. I went with the S8 as it was cheaper and in performance there is little difference.

Still seems very expensive to me. My S6 is starting to slow down a bit but still going to continue with it until prices come down.

    • I'm still using the S6 aswell which I got when it first came out in 2015. My battery doesn't even last a whole day without charging….

    Any Pixel deals please?

  • Is this the same deal as a few weeks ago? Can i just sign up to theplan without the phone?

What happens after the year, data allowance decreases?

    • Yes and you get a $200 gift card instead.

  • same deal as the old one. they just extended the deal. I got one the other week.

    So it's really $107.25/month for 12 months.

  • Vs $110 for 24 months to get a phone

  • Does anyone know if they include the wireless charger with this deal?

  • Thanks OP. Just picked one up today from JB hifi.

alright my second post. I followed the instructions used woollies egift (5% off) cards to by $700 worth of jbhifi gift card spending $665. Jbhifi gift card comes in $100 and $50 so ended up with 8 cards. Woollies operator was giving me strange looks when I was trying to push all these cards in to my pocket. Rocked up to jbhifi, went through credit check etc, then watched the guy put my deal through. It seems, he had lot of power, he went through the menu and select amount of data etc I get. At one time I thought bribing him to put me on big data. Anyway bought the phone. I ended up with $1 left in jbhifi gift card. Went through all the $1 cds at jbhifi and couldn’t find anything I like. I asked the jbhifi guy if they are selling heaps of S9’s. He said he sold 8 contracts this week. Given this was a Sydney city store it seems people are not rushing to buy these. I sold the new S9 on gumtree for $900. Now need to claim 50% as work related. So I will get 50% of 1199(phone receipt cost) @ tax rate 30%= $180. So my 665(phone cost)-900(phone sold)-180(tax)= $414 (profit). Now I still have to pay 49*12=$588 to telstra. From that I can still calim 50% work usage next year so another $88 in my pocket. so $414(profit)-588(telstra)+$88 (next year tax)= -$86 (my loss). Spending $86 for 12 month 25GB plan. I like to thank ozbargain, egift card, woollies, jbhifi and ATO.
